Improvisation was never haru's strong suit since she preferred more grounded approaches, such as well-thought-out plans and in-depth research. This, however, was an anomaly. Moments like these occurred whenever her emotions got the better of her, like this pitiful excuse of a plan.
It's not like she had any choice but to join in.
"What are we like? Peter, here is always getting me into trouble. Such a silly goose." she playfully booped his nose with an overly lovely Dovey look in her eyes.
jisung stood there frozen at her eagerness to lean into his touch, something he assumed he would never be able to witness. His knees were about to give away any second from the dizzying proximity he had gotten himself into, despite being the one who imitated it.
That and the surprise that haru knew his English name was catching him off guard. Just how did she know when he hadn't disclosed that to anyone?
"me? get you in trouble? Why would I ever do that to you, Gi?" he said breathlessly. "You know how much I like you."
his grin grew wide, showing off his teeth that were clearly having fun in this fake relationship roleplay. It was infuriating how he looked at her as if he was the only one who wasn't being affected by the closeness, like he was the only one taking it as a joke.
haru blinked as her brain struggled to comprehend the words escaping his lips.
"you l-like me?"
jisung nodded without a second's hesitation. "why wouldn't I?"
fury enraged her caged-up heart. How could he say something like that, something so intimate, while in his arms without feeling a thing?
"how sweet! You two are such a sweet couple." Yuna gushed ecstatically, pulling her hands to her chest.
This girl must've been really dense for falling for something clearly fake, as if these two would ever be remotely romantically interested in each other.
haru plastered a happy smile. "Yeah totally?"
"so what made you realise you liked each other?"
They blinked in silence.
"you know, there's always a reason. For example, people like me because of my sparkling eyes and natural bubbly charisma. What about you guys?"
Befuddled glances were exchanged between the two, widened eyes flickering over each other.
"Peter is insufferable. he thinks he knows better than everyone else, struggles to express serious emotions and is rude." haru stated.
