Background

Official Description

Wes Marais is an American 4-month-old cat with powers based on the Egyptian goddess, Bastet. He first appeared in Volume 3 Season 8 and is one of the middle-section survivors. The only known non-human survivor on the flight.

Appearance

Wes is a male black, brown and orange coated cat with amber eyes and is the size of a 4-month-old kitten. Wes turns green in hid spirit form.

Personality

Wes is an energetic kitten and enjoys the company of his owners. He also has a habit of jumping around different places. He is also playful and could also play with random things like plastic bags or strings.

Etymology

Despite the series mainly taking place in Australia and New Zealand and that Wes is American, Wes is an Old English name and his last name, Marais is a French name.

Wes is a boy's name meaning "western meadow" that is related to the Old English name Wesley.
