Background

Official Description

Tatum Dahl is an American 23-year-old student with powers based on the Chinese goddess, Xiwangmu. She first appeared in Volume 3 Season 9 and is one of the tail-section survivors.

Appearance

She is shown to have long, blonde hair tied in a low ponytail, brown eyes and light tan skin. She wears a white elbow-length shirt with blue sleeves, black jeans and white shoes. When she activates her powers, her pupils and irises disappear and glow turquoise. Her sleepwear consists of a black shirt and blue sweatpants. She stands on 5 ft. 8 and is of average weight. Tate turns turquoise in her spirit form.

Personality

Like many of her teammates, she displays immaturity but sometimes seriousness. Not much of her personality is shown in the series. However, she does show deep concern towards her teammates. She is also slightly tomboyish due to her tough attitude.

Etymology

Despite the series mainly taking place in Australia and New Zealand and that Tate is a American, Tatum is an Old English name and her last name, Dahl is a Germanic name.

Tatum is an English personal name of Old English origin, meaning "Tate's homestead" or a "cheerful bringer of joy" in an alternate Old English translation.
