"You need to make more friends." Alondra told me as we walked to the market.
"What for?" I rolled my eyes.
"I love you Lonia but you need people your own age to be around." She told me as we walked past the town hall.
"Wow thanks. And I thought you loved my company." I state sarcastically.
"You know I didn't mean it like that. It's just you are always so angry. If you made a friend or two it would probably help."
"Are things to get back to normal?" I asked her and she shook her head. "Then I guess I won't make any friends."
"Allonia, literally everyone else is in the same boat as you are."
"Yet everyone acts as though they aren't." I roll my eyes as we finally make it to the market.
"I am just saying it would make you feel less alone." She shrugged.
We stayed quiet for a while as we looked at some of the fruits and vegetables my parents asked for. Honestly I didn't want to make friends because what is the point if nothing is going to be good in this world. It's just filled with anger and darkness.
