Chapter 22

as I lay on the floor trying to catch my breath, my stab wound started bleeding again. I start panicking, how am I going to stop the bleeding if my hands are tied?

I needed to break out of this dumb rope. but it's designed to keep me there, none of my powers will faze it... or was he bluffing? that's when the idea popped into my head, I close my eyes, if I can somehow control my power enough to cover the wound with ice it can stop the bleeding just enough so that I might live.

I take a deep breath before focusing on the wound and hoping it works. when I opened my eyes again, I did it, but I did so much more than just that... my eyes widened at the sight, everything in the room was covered in ice, not a crack anywhere was missed. my own power amazed me

I moved to sit up as I stared in amazement and in the process the ropes that bound my hands broke, they were covered in ice... he was either bluffing, or they underestimated my powers...

just then I heard footsteps coming towards the door and I panicked, I need to keep the upper hand here. I leaned against the wall as I did the first thing that came to my mind 

"Melt!" I whispered and in seconds the ice was gone as if it was never there in the first place

the door opened just as I was getting lost in thought. if the ice, my ice, did what I said, does that mean it's living? are my other powers the same?

just then I felt a hand on my cheek making me let my guard down and I was falling, I put my hands in front of me to catch me. that's when I realized I made a terrible mistake to let my guard down in front of the enemy 

rookie mistake

I looked behind me to see my brother with wide eyes "H-How did you get free?" he asked unable to comprehend the fact that I freed myself when it was supposed to be impossible. 

my brother came back to his senses he brought his phone out before showing me Chan and Jeongin. "No matter, you have to be punished for disobeying" he smirked before pressing a button on a controller in his hand and soon men walked into each room with tools in hand. 

my eyes widened this is my time to test out my new power I guess. I hope it works...

"Find them!" I yelled at my hands but nothing happened and fear came over me "aww is baby sis trying to use her powers?" he laughed as I watch them hit Chan and Jeongin, they don't deserve this

tears fell from my eyes as I close them "Protect them, please! I'm begging you!" I sobbed.and that's when I felt ice shoot from my fingertips and rush out the door in a blink of an eye. it was insane to watch!

after that I looked at my brother's phone to see the men frozen in place, Chan had his blindfold off and when he saw the ice he smirked.

I stood up shakily and walked to stand in front of my brother

"Don't you dare touch my family again!" I gritted my teeth as I stepped on his foot holding him in place with my ice.

I tried to run out but instead, I ended up walking with a limp, I held my side as I followed my own ice, to where Chan or Jeongin was. suddenly one of my father's men came out from nowhere with a gun in hand. I stopped in my tracks and when he realized it was me he cocked his gun and aimed it at me.

My eyes widened as I looked down the barrel of the gun. I saw my life flash before my eyes as I held my hand in front of me when the gun suddenly went off. I waited to feel the bullet in my hand but I never felt it, instead I heard someone fall to the floor. I lower my hand and look at the man on the ground who's inching away from me in fear

when my hand fell to my side I heard metal hit the floor only to look down and find the bullet.

my eyes widened and I looked at my hand "How much power do I actually wield?" I asked myself, just then I heard my name, I looked up to find Chan standing there confused "I stopped a bullet" I spoke and he looked shocked

the man on the floor got up and ran away as fast as he could.

I run to Chan and embrace him 

"How did you get free?" I asked him as we held each other close. "They lacked the knowledge of my physical strength they only knew of my powers," he stated and I nodded letting him know I understood. "How did you get free?" he returned my question "They underestimated my power. I didn't even know how strong I was till I almost destroyed the entire room I was in" I told him and I knew this was not just a shock to me but also to everyone else

its even hard for me to realize that I have all these other powers that I never knew, and the thought that I've been trying to keep in the back of my mind. the fact that my mother had an affair. 

the sweetest woman I ever knew, was murdered by the man she loved when I was just a child. 

I pulled away from Chan "We have to find the others, if we follow the ice we should find Jeongin, but I don't know where everyone else is." I stated and he nodded "Then we should hurry, the faster we stop this the faster everything can be normal again," he said and I completely agreed 

and then we follow the ice towards Jeongin and hope that we can find the others before something terrible happens to any of them
