I close my eyes and focus on the machine as I hear my father scream behind me
"You're just going to end up like your mother you hear me!!!" he yelled and that's when I opened my eyes and my hair started flowing and without me realizing I was glowing. the dial on the machine was going crazy
"you killed my mother!! you hurt my family! you raped me and tortured all of us!! what you did was unforgivable!" I yelled as the glass covering the dial shattered. "and even worse! you turned my brother into a monster just like you!"
it seemed like the more anger I let out the more the machine crumbled and the stronger my light got. "You are the darkness in this world and I will be the light that outshines you if it's the last thing I do!" I yelled
"You hear me!!!!" I screamed as I felt all the power leave my body, I used everything I had to kill this machine. even if it kills me, I'm fine with that.
but I don't need to see Chan to know he's worried out of his mind.
"Y/n!!! Please stop! at this rate, you're going to kill yourself trying to save the world!!" Chan yelled as his voice cracks. "Then so be it!!" I yelled back. I didn't see it but I'm sure he tried to reach out to me and one of the members stopped him, you know how I know? I heard them talking
"Y/n is a grown woman, and as her fiancee, you should respect her decision, this is hard on her too, she loves you and she might have to leave you, keep in mind this is tearing her apart too Chan" Of course it was Hyunjin who backed me up. I've known him the longest. he knows me the best
"Chan! remember whatever happens to me I still love you so much!" I yelled before putting the last bit of my power into destroying the machine.
the machine went up in flames as my eyes start to close as I fall back, but I was caught, I looked into the mans eyes to see Chan's starring right back at me. I shakily reach my hand out to land on his cheek which he leaned into with tears falling down his cheeks
"Goodbye, my love," I spoke softly as my hand fell from his cheek and my eyes close. the last thing I remember was Chan screaming
"Y/NNNNNNNN!!!!!"
CHAN'S POV
I hold Y/n as I saw her eyes roll to the back of her head. "Someone call 911!!!" I yelled and the others just stood there "Why are you just standing there?!?!" I yelled again as I held the love of my lives, lifeless body.
"we cant call 911, Chan, she gave her everything, how are we even supposed to explain what happened here without them thinking we're crazy?" Minho was the one to be the voice of reason.
I sobbed as I looked at her pale face. "I can't just let her die!!"
that's when Jisung got on his knees next to me
"I'm sorry but she's already gone..."
I screamed so hard my voice cracked as I pull her closer and sob harder than I ever have before the love of my life died in my arms and there was nothing I could do to stop it! and that's what tore me up the most.
??? POV
the light was so blinding, it wasn't a light like fire, it was more like a lantern, a really bright lantern. the only thought that ran through my mind was "Where am I?" last time I remembered I was in Chan's arms when I passed out
that's when I gasped as the light got closer, what if I didn't pass out and I died? if that's true then Chan is going to kill himself... damn it! I couldn't change the future after all! well, I'm glad I died and not anyone else...
just then a face appeared from the light and soon after a body came with it, a young girl with a slim body and many, many scars... and the sad part was I knew who she was
"Mom...?" I spoke and she hummed with a soft smile.
"Why are you here? where is here? and was what dad saying about you true?" I asked close to tears just from the pure joy that came with seeing my mother again!
"None of that's important right now, I'm here to ask you, what kept you alive until now?" she asked and I thought about it "Well I was meant to save the world, and I already did that... I think." I spoke and she shook her head
"What, or who kept you alive when everything was so overwhelming, the one thing that's been there from the start?" I stood back and thought,
Minho knew about everything, he knew about it first, but the one who truly accepted me was Chan.
he was the only reason I kept going, he was my safety net, when I fell off the tight rope he was always there to catch me and to help me stand and get back on my feet
the love I have for him is something I never thought I would ever feel for someone, but he was always holding me those nights I couldn't sleep cause I either had too much on my mind or I was too busy crying.
and when I told him about what I saw, he was trying to come up with a plan with me, lots of sleepless nights, making sure everyone was going to make it out alive
"Chan, my fiancee, the group's father figure, the love of my life. he was everything I needed and he helped me to become a better person, he helped me see that I didn't need to stay tangled up in my past when the future is right in front of me" I paused collecting my thoughts
"If I'm really dead he's probably out there right now sobbing and blaming himself for not stopping me. God, he doesn't deserve this pain, he's amazing and the only thing he deserves is happiness. and I want to be the one who makes sure that's all he ever gets!" I say looking my mother in the eyes. I was filled with so much love and passion I wasn't going to take no for an answer
her eyes softened as she held my face with her soft and small hands
"I had that love once, with your father, his best friend raped me and you were the result, but I love you none the less, we got in a terrible fight one day after his best friend told your father that he caught me out with his brother. but he was lying of course. he didn't mean to kill me, but the grief tore him apart and that's why his mindset has changed so much since I left. I'm sorry you had to go through all that my love" she said closing her eyes and leaning her forehead on mine
"I'm not going to let you make the same mistake I did." she said pulling away "As much as I would love to have you here with me, you have your own family waiting for you to come home" she smiled at me and before I realized it I started fading away as she got further and further away
I reached out for her "I love you, mom!" I said close to tears and she smiled softly again close to tears as well. "I love you to my dear! and don't let anything happen to the little light inside you" I smiled as the tears fell
"I won't!" I yelled before I woke up
