"i am still so naive; i know pretty much what i like and dislike; but please, don't ask me who i am. a passionate, fragmentary girl, maybe?" - slyvia plath

A week has passed since Klaus possessed that horrible, disgusting feeling of 'sympathy'. Never again did he want to feel it. But one thing he can't piece together is how Tyler's words made her cry, resulting in Klaus' feelings. He had spent several hours a day pondering over this, which is strange because he usually enjoyed seeing someone like that. Somehow the girl's heartbreak made Klaus feel a certain way, he just couldn't put his finger on it. "Hello, brother." Rebekah said confidently, walking into the Mikaelson living room. "Rebekah." Klaus said with a nod and a pursed lips. "Something on your mind?" She said, sitting opposite him. "Nothing you need to know about, darling sister." He said, with a hint of sarcasm lacing his voice. He smiled and walked out of the room. He needed to do something to take his mind off it. Feed.

Serenity had always felt content in the cemetery. She knew she could never be closer to her family than she was here. It distracted her from a painful reality. She sat there, with crossed legs, thinking about... nothing. She wasn't thinking about anything. That was until she saw something in the corner of her eye, moving at the speed of light. She spun around quickly, but didn't see anything. I must be really tired, she thought. She shook the feeling off and continued to think the lonely thoughts of nothingness. She closed her eyes for not even a second, and when she opened them, she saw someone stood in front of her. Gasping loudly, her heart stopped for a second and she jumped up. Her facial expression changed from shock into anger, "Who even are you?" she said hissed. Klaus smiled and tilted his head, her eyes on her neck. "Are you going to answer me?" she said, pushing her hair behind her ears, looking slightly uncomfortable. "My name is Klaus." He confidently said. "Well, Klaus, are you unaware that sneaking up on people is considered rude?" She snapped, folding her arms across her chest. "I'm aware." He replied, without failing to wipe the smile off his face, not once taking his eyes off her neck. They stood there in silence for near enough a minute. Serenity's confusion was all over the place, and she didn't know who he was but she knew one thing; his creepiness had flooded around her and she has never felt so awkward in the cemetery than she was now. She began walking out of the cemetery, moving as fast as her feet could carry her. "Wait" Klaus said, from behind her. She turned around, only to find him standing as close as anybody could possibly get. She leaned back a little, using her feet so regain her balance. "But... how? How did you do that?" She asked, frowning. "Do what?" He questioned, pretending to act like he has no idea what she's talking about. "Y-you just moved really quickly." She began to panic, until she felt both his hands on her shoulder which sent a type of shockwave through her body. She blinked, and swallowed hard. "Relax, love." The hint of reassurance along with a full-blown British accent did something to her and her body, which she was unable to explain. He pushed her hair back behind her neck, and stroked it. He moved much closer to her neck, and opened his mouth. Serenity began to panic, but found herself isolated on the spot. Klaus paused. He stayed in that position for seconds longer than he could tell you. What was going on? He never had this problem before. He was physically unable to bite this girl. He took his head back, and looked into his eyes. He blinked, followed by a sigh. "Forget this happened." Klaus said, thoughtfully, as he watched her pupils dilate. Serenity took a step backwards, and turned her back to him and continued to walk out of the cemetery.

Klaus entered his mansion, slamming the door behind him. "Brother." Elijah said as he noticed Klaus' anger. "Has something happened?" He asked, thoughtfully. Klaus sighed at sat down, pushing his head back against the sofa. "I couldn't do it." He said, propping up his head to look at Elijah. "I couldn't feed today." He said, blinking several times before punching the sofa. Elijah was confused, "What do you mean, brother?" He asked, genuinely concerned. "What do you think I mean? I found a perfect target today, in the cemetery, she was truly beautiful, Elijah. You wouldn't believe. I was a centimetre away from biting her neck but something held me back and... I just. I'm confused." Klaus exclaimed, unhappiness taking over his voice and his facial expressions. "Do you feel anything for her?" Elijah asked, knowing he was treading on dangerous grounds. "How would I possibly be able to feel for her, when I don't even know her?" Klaus snapped. That was when he remembered. The day in the Grill. She was the girl, crying. She was the girl who made him feel the awful feeling of sympathy. He frowned and bit his lip. What is going on? He thought to himself.
