Hello everyone, I am here with a bonus chapter! It is not too important for the story but I would still recommend reading it. The reason I am writing this is because I just found out that the Mugen Train movie already came out and I didn't even know! So I decided to write this chapter full of (Y/N)'s encounters with Rengoku in honor of his heroic death. I hope you'll enjoy it. (And yes, just remembering that scene makes me cry, don't judge me)

The first time she met him was six years ago. The Demon slayer was only 14 years old back then but he was already taller than her. After dragging him to her home, passed out from a paralizing poison, she gently layed him down on her futon and pulled the covers over him. The boy had fiery yellow and red hair and adorned a flame patterned haori. Of course, she knew he was a Slayer and might try to kill her if he knew her true identity but she couldn't just leave him there.

It took him hours to recover from the poison's effects and when he woke up, the sun was already rising above the mountains. She was sitting next to him, about to wipe off the sweat from his forehead, when his eyes snapped open and he grabbed her wrist before she could touch him.

When he looked at her masked face, his grip loosened and he relaxed on the futon again.

"Sorry... I didn't realize it was you." he said hesitantly.

"No, it's fine. I would be suprised too, if I woke up in an unfamiliar place with a stranger." she smiled at him softly although she was aware he couldn't see it.

"Tell me, who are you?" the boy asked her curiously.

"Have you been at the village down in the valley?"

"No." he said with a big smile, "Oh, I see, it's rude to ask a lady her name before I introduce myself, that's the problem, right? I am Rengoku Kyojuro, son of the current Flame hashira! Of course, I am a Demon slayer as well!"

Well, that wasn't what she had in mind but why not. If he hasn't been to the village, it meant he didn't know of the rumors. Maybe that was the reason he wasn't afraid of her.

"I see, it is a pleasure to meet you, Rengoku-san. My name is (L/N) (Y/N), daughter of a blacksmith. I am a blacksmith and a doctor."

"Nice to meet you too, (L/N)!"

The boy had an everlasting smile on his face and she couldn't help but find it refreshing. All the faces she knew were those twisted in terror as they realized who she was, those of grinning demons with bad intentions and those of disgust of people with higher standing. But this boy, he was different. He emmited positive energy even when bedridden and seemed to have no prejudice agains her.

"So tell me, what happened back there? My memory is kind of hazy."

"You got hit by a poisoned thorn on the mountain path. I killed the demon and then took you here, you passed out soon after the demon died... Speaking of which, how are you feeling, Rengoku-san? Does it hurt anywhere?"

"Oh, I remember now. And no, I am feeling quite alright, just tired."

"That's good to hear. You are welcome to stay as long as you need to make a succesfull recovery."

"Thank you, (L/N), I think I'll take you up on that offer."

(~3 days later)

"Are you sure you don't want any payment, (L/N)? Not even for the food you gave me?" asked Rengoku.

"It's fine, Rengoku-san. Your company was a compensation enough. Just make it home safe."

He nodded. During the short time he has spent in her house, he has learned that when she decided on something, there was no way to make her change her mind. Then he remembered his promise to her. Don't tell anyone about me. You can mention a doctor saving you but please, leave out all the details. I don't wanna be found.
