Oliverious's Point of View
"Oliver, I see the finance group is going well these past few years since you started to be in charge of it, Mr. Cabral did the right choice," Cadmus said while smirking at me, and playing with his pen.
"I did what's best, sir," I said in a formal way.
He nodded and smiles, "Keep doing it, and I trust you with the operation, while Kent's busy on his bar. You may go" I nodded and take my leave out of his office.
"How is it going?" salubong sa'kin ng kaibigan ko'ng is Kace pagkalabas ko sa opisina ng CEO.
"Wala naman nangyari natuwa lang siya na ok ang takbo ng Finance dept. " I casually said while we're both walk to the company cafeteria.
"Ganun naman lagi yon' si Cad, when he sees people with great expertise, he would not think twice to compliment them" I nodded and agreed with him.
Kace is my friend since collage, he's the CEO's secretary slash assistant. "Anong bibilhin mo?" tanong niya ng na sa tapat na kami ng counter.
"Ah, coffee lang ako," I said. Tumango siya at umorder na.
After buying, we go back to our job and I stayed at the office while it's lunch break to avoid other employee's invitation for lunch dahil kailangan ko'ng magtabi ng pera dahil malapit na ang birthday ni Nyril. Gusto ko siyang regaluhan ng bagay na ikakatuwa niya kaya tiis-tiis muna ng walang lunch.
Babawi na lang ako ng kain pag uwi sa bahay mamaya.
Kinabukasan ay medyo nalate akong gumising kaya naligo at simpleng t-shirt lang ang aking sinuot papasok ng opisina.
Nang bumukas ang pinto ng opisina ko agad akong tumayo at sinalubong si Kace. "Oh, buti na lang may dala akong extra lagi" he said, throw a paper bag on me and leave.
Agad kong hinubad ang aking t-shirt at kinuha ang white polo shirt sa loob ng paper bag, I was about to wear the polo shirt when the door suddenly opens.
"Good morni------"
First, I thought it was Kace again but I was wrong, it's a girl. She stiffed and stare at me with those wide eyes.
I stared at her, "Yes?" I ask.
She looks so confused by the expression written on her face, and I've noticed her eyes look around the office until it lands on my table nameplate. I thought her eyes were wide enough but they widened more, when she read the nameplate.
"Sorry!" she said and quickly close the door, leaving me here staring at the door; I can't help to laugh remembering how her eyes widened.
I continue dressing and resume working, again I avoided lunch break, so I stay inside the office again. After a few days, I still continue the same routine.
At ngayon kasalukuyan ako'ng nagtratrabaho para sa finance statement for this week ng pumasok ang assistant ko'ng si Gabriel.
"Oh, Gab saan ka galing kanina pa kita hianhanap ah" I said.
"Sorry sir may tiningnan lang ako sa studio" studio? Ano namang gagawin niya doon?
"Ano'ng ginawa mo don?" I ask.
He seats on his table and smile at me, "Sir may bago kasing employee simula last week, kilala mo si Mrs. Feliciana diba?" nakangiti niyang sambit naparang excited siya sa kinukwento niya.
I nodded. "Sir may nagpakalma sa lion last week, at ito pa ang malupit first day pa lang daw nung empliyadong 'yon nakuha niya na agad loob ni Mrs. Feliciana" I know Mrs. Feliciana she's one of our branch owners. I always handled her finance statement when she comes here.
