Nakarinig ako ng malakas na tunog mula sa aking cellphone kaya agad akong naalimpungatan at unti-unting nag unat ng aking katawan. My eyes are still close but I manage to reach my phone from the side table to answer the call.

"Hmmm, hello?" bakas sa boses ko ang pagkaantok, at pilit ko pang binabalot ang aking sarili sa kumot ko dahil nais ko pang matulog.

"Fille where are you?" napamulat ako ng aking mga mata ng marinig ang boses ni Madam, mabilis pa sa alaskwatro akong napaupo saking kama at sinagot siya.

"Good morning po Madam, bakit niyo po ako hinahanap?" tanong ko.

"Fille, it's already 11 am, I thought you're already here in the company, so I approach and led Mr. Beltran to your office but the other staffs said you weren't here" sa haba ng sinabi ni Madam isa lang ang tumatak sa isip ko.

Hindi na ako nakapaglagay ng make up at nagsuklay ng buhok kaya mabilis nalang akong nagsuot ng thick glasses and tie up my hair in a messy bond para hindi masyadong halata na hindi nagsuklay.

Mabilis kong tinahak ang papunta sa opisina at wala lang 20 minutes ay nandito na ako sa kumpanya, agad akong umakyat sa third floor kung saan daw naghihintay si Oliver.

Halos tumakbo na ako dito sa hall ng kumpanya para lang mas bumilis pa ang kilos ko, at pagkabukas ko ng pinto ng aking opisina ang gwapo niyang mukha agad ang sumalubong sakin.

Ramdam ko ang pagtitig niya sa'kin kaya tumalikod ako upang maglagay man lang ng konting lip balm dahil tuyong tuyo na ang labi ko sa sobrang lamig sa labas.

Mga ilang saglit lang ay muli ko siyang hinarap at nginitian, "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience sir, I overslept, it's all my fault," nakayuko kong sambit.

"It's fine, what 's important is now you're here and ready to tour me around the new Noelle," He casually said and stood up, fixed his coat and glanced at me.

"Ok, Sir," I said and immediately stood and grabbed my phone as we walked out of my office.

Nilibot ko siya sa buong building, sa bawat department, sa mga stock space dito pati narin sa lab area. "How can you be sure that the formula at you use on the first batch is going to be the same as the second batch?" tanong niya habang pinapanuod ang pagproseso ng makina sa produkto.
