It was raining, it had been for a few days now and it seemed like it would never end, you sat next to a window frame while glancing over at the newspaper detailing the current status of the horse race, turning your attention outside you took a notice of a white dove flying towards the building you were currently staying in, it flew high above making you lose sight of it, but you knew where the dove would be, after all, it was a messenger.

Getting up from the chair you placed down the newspaper, getting ready to collect the message, not many knew of you but you did work under the President's command, you took in the messages after all you owned all of the messenger doves, you were a caretaker of birds, the President had hired you because he was impressed to see you tame a golden eagle, one you used as an attack dog to take down a target you were paid to kill, the eagle's sharp claws just did the trick of tearing that man apart, not only did you take care of these birds you were hired as an assassin because of your odd skill of being able to understand these feathered animals.

Walking up the stairs and making your way on to the flat roof where the dove cage was placed, you could see the bird flying towards you, moving your hand up and holding one finger for it to land on, you were soon surprised to see the bird get hit by something causing it to fall down and land right in front of you creating a rather bloody mess, you moved your hand away as you glanced around holding a glare on your face, what exactly did hit the bird to make it fall down like that? Crouching down you picked up the poor now blood painted animal, it wasn't shot that's for sure, you took the metal tube which contained the message from the dead animal.

"Scuce me," A voice said as you turned your attention to see a man approaching you, which was odd considering he was walking along with the rain holding an umbrella over his head.

"Ssscuse me," he spoke again it seemed like he had some sort of a verbal tic, "you, you're working for President correct?" He asked as he stood mid-air, but as you inspected closer he was standing upon the raindrops, you raised your eyebrow, "of course I am, mind telling me who you are, we don't like intruders." You told him in a calm tone, as you moved to take a white rag from on top of the dove cage, "were allies then, I apologize for being the cause of the death of that bird then." He said as he began to walk along with the rain once again, you didn't pay much attention to him now, you used the white rag to clean your hands and to wrap up the dove into it, you'd dig a grave for it later, the rain falling upon you suddenly ceased as you looked up seeing the man holding the umbrella over you, he was standing above you.

"Thank you for acting like an umbrella, but it's actually quite impolite to stand above a person's head... Mr?" You spoke as you watched him, he was wearing a mask over his face, "Blackmore, and what might be your name? Missss?" You stared at him for a moment, "[Y/N]," you told him as you started walking towards the door where you came from holding the wrapped up pigeon in your hands as well as the-

You quickly turned your attention to Blackmore who was following you holding up the umbrella over you, "if we are allies, I suppose you would take this to Mister Valentine?" You asked as you moved to hand him the messenger tube which contained the message, he stared at it for a moment before back at you, then he suddenly moved his mask a little away from his face to his side, as he waltzed a little further down, still holding the umbrella above you, he moved his hand to take the messenger tube from your hand, not before reaching to take a hold of your hand, which caught you off guard.

You watched as he turned your hand and placed a kiss on your knuckles before he slipped the messenger tube from your hand, "thank you for your alliance, Misss [Y/N]." He said as he watched you with those deep blue eyes, "your face it seems a little red perhaps you should go inside now, the rain might make you sick."

You realized that you had almost stopped breathing because of his actions, you turned your face away as you nodded, "I suppose so," you muttered as you made your way inside, closing the door behind you, leaving the man with the umbrella to stand upon the raindrops, he let out a soft hum as he moved the mask back onto his face and began moving along with the raindrops, now with a little spring to his step.

Moving now at the side of the building to watch you carrying the wrapped up animal through the windows, "but I hope I didn't make you sick." He muttered under his breath feeling perhaps a little bad for being the cause of death for that dove.
