Yuki stared at the reflection in the mirror, slipping the tie around his neck and adjusting it. Although his hands and fingers were slightly clumsy, they moved the fabric of the tie easily as if he had been practicing it since the day he was born. His dull grey eyes brought him discomfort when he looked into them. They were horribly empty and lifeless, some could say that it was simply lacking color within them.

It's been several years since he saw you.

Yuki turned to place both dictionaries into his leather school bag, the weight of them was slightly heavy but it was nothing compared to the burdens he carried on his back. He wonders what kind of businesses your family has conducted over the years since his family pulled out of the celebrations. There was this aching feeling in this heart that he couldn't put into words, it was a painful feeling like arrows being shot through his organs.

He could barely remember the sound of your voice that night, he could, however, remember the view he had as he sat by his family but it never compared to the beauty he saw when you were placed underneath the tree, surrounded by an array of white rabbits who nibbled at the edges of your clothes while you hummed. He remembers the way your (h/c) draped over your shoulders without a single stray strand of hair breaking the formation, the fibers being tied neatly into an ornate hairstyle that looked as if it had taken several years to complete. Your scarf draping over your shoulder as if it was floating just inches from the fabric of your clothing, your hands caressing each of the rabbit's bodies as you held one on your lap.

You truly looked as if you resembled the woman on the moon with your angelic, fairy-like appearance that had blessed the gardens of the estate. Your voice resonated with the crowd while you looked up at them with your doleful and timid (e/c) eyes, your fingers plucking at the instrument gracefully while you smiled underneath the moon's gaze.

He wonders if you still lived under those conditions, performing for your family during autumn while wearing those ornate clothes. There was a hidden feeling of isolation and loneliness that he felt when meeting you, your eyes pooled with various emotions yet there were only a few that you were able to show underneath the layers of make-up. Although your meetings with him were brief, he couldn't help but constantly dream about the moon whose light wrapped around his wrist as to pull him towards you.

He sighs underneath his breath before opening the door to greet his classmate who lived with him.

"It's official, our class has voted to operate a rice ball stand." Yuki drew a pink flower using chalk before facing the classroom filled with students, "next, I'd like to hear opinions on what fillings we should use."

Tohru raised her hand and stood up from her seat, "yes! How about tricolor rice balls? It would be fun to have three fillings in one rice ball! And a good deal!" She smiled, causing Yuki to waver a bit.

"That's cute, I like it." He responded, watching as Tohru's smile lit up even more. He pressed his lips together at the sight, he wanted to rid himself of the memories but it feels as if there was a piece of you within Tohru that he never expected.
