Chapter 17

Jungkook supported Taehyung by his waist as he took each of his steps with wobbly legs. They have decided to teach Taehyung to use crutches instead of wheelchair so that he would eventually start walking on his own. This required practice and it was about time, it started.

"No now, no now." Taehyung cried out as he begged Jungkook to stop. It hurt his knees and thighs everytime he tried walking. He didn't want to do this at all. Of course he also wanted to walk and run like others but if that meant that he had to endure all this pain then he's fine with being on his wheelchair all his life.

"Just a bit more Taehyung then I promise we'll sit down. We'll be done for the day." Jungkook promised him as he took other another step with Taehyung leaning on his side. He made sure that Taehyung didn't have to put too much pressure on his leg. He did proper research on the do's and don'ts, after all he didn't want to hurt Taehyung in any way.

Jungkook should be going to a physiotherapist but he already has Hoseok's fees to take care of. He can't afford a physiotherapist right now. He felt pathetic for not being capable enough to take care of his mate. His Alpha pride didn't let him take money from others too. So he was now trying his level best to help Taehyung on his own.

"No no." Taehyung begged as he took just two more steps ahead. Tears almost forming in his eyes.

"Okay okay I got you bub. I got you " Jungkook cooed as he immediately lifted Taehyung by his thighs. The younger boy was quick to wrap his legs and arms around Jungkook, his grip so strong that it was almost suffocating the latter. With quick steps Jungkook made his way to his room, and descended Taehyung's body on his bed. After what happened that day, Jungkook didn't want to leave Taehyung alone in his new room again, and possibly trigger any bad memories. So, since the day of Taehyung's discharge from the hospital, he has been staying in Jungkook's room.

Jungkook expected Taehyung to release him but that didn't happen as the boy just tightened his grip on his neck and started shaking his head profusely.

"I'm not leaving you. I'm right here. But you have to let me go so I can sit too." Jungkook muttered with a small smile as he gently removed Taehyung's arms around him. He then took a seat near him and Taehyung was quick to climb on his lap and wrap his arms around his waist.

It wasn't just Jungkook who was being overprotective. Taehyung had gotten more clingy too. While Jungkook was afraid of letting the incident repeat itself, Taehyung was terrified of being left alone. The boy remembers being locked in the room but he can't recall what happened after that. He only remembers waking up in the hospital the next day and he doesn't want to go there again. Ever since he was a child, his memories have always been like flashes. He would continue to loose consciousness and wouldn't remember a thing after regaining it.

"I have to massage your legs with oil so that it would hurt less. Plus I heard it's also good for building bone strength." Jungkook softly whispered in Taehyung's ears as he patted his back and gently caressed it up and down.

Taehyung showed no sign to move as he only just burried his face in his neck, his hands moving to fist at Jungkook's shirt.

Jungkook knew where this was going. The latter did this everytime he was sleepy. Taehyung had grown this strange habit of sleeping in Jungkook's lap. He would tightly grab his shirt and take deep breaths of his scent. Eventually his eyes would start getting droopy and he would go to sleep. Jungkook would then tuck him in, while being extra careful and then ask someone to watch over him while he takes care of other stuffs.

Right now he couldn't let him sleep. He still had to massage his legs and that wasn't possible when Taehyung sleeps with his legs over a pillow.

"Don't you want to play with Baby?" Jungkook suggested as he tried to bribe him with an offer to play with Chimmy.
