Two young girls take their place.
One clad in purple, one in red.
Two friends and one soul in nritya
Today divided by pride.

One chooses a tigress, other a peacock.
Fierce, powerful, possessive
Majestic, pleasant, playful.
How could nritya turn into a battle?

She still doesn't understand that's it's no longer the duet they used to do.
Dance of envy it is!
The show has just begun.

She failed to see that they both are a part of each other.
One Nritya and the other Bhava.
The other plays along thinking a duet.
The others watch by knowing it's not.

And then they change.
She of the sensuous moves and she slightly demure.
Oh girl! She looked up to you always
And you engaged in pride and envy?
For you thought you were the best?
Wheels turn, don't you know?

They play with colours now.
Purple, red and green.
Green given by the green eyed one.
The one who initiated the dance of envy.

And now she sees and understands.
There's something different now.
But she can't ask, can't say and can't show.
The show can't be stalled.
Her heart breaks when she learns
Thr one who made her fall in love with stage now wanted to show her down.
Nevertheless her feet continued
As her heart bled.
Both divided due to pride.

And alas, she lost.
Her ghungroo slipped from her feet.
She won and she lost the battle.
But both of them had lost!

The always encouraging one now smirked at her defeat.
The one who lost asked silent questions through her tearful eyes.
Was it a price she had to pay just because she had succeeded her?
Her smirk gave the answer away.

And then she swore to part ways.
Nritya and Bhava got separate.
She pledged to be the best.
The most elegant and charming dancer.
The best amongst all
But with humility.

The winter festival just two days away.
She had broken her spirit so bad.
But she rose in front of the mirror.
She shall win and enchant everyone for sure.

The Dance Of Envy shall soon end.

A/N: Smriti and Chitra

A/N: Smriti and Chitra. If you guessed it before reading the A/N congrats. (you could only guess if you have read Smriti)

Well I have got fever now so there is nothing to do so let me talk here for some while. (I might not make sense)

Violet/Purple: Chitra
Indigo: preferably Natesh
Blue: Mohini
Green: Suraini (she isn't a main character but there is a little thing about her so I have kept her)
Yellow: Ved
Orange: Medha (but add a little of brown too)
Red: Smriti

7 colours give rise to white.
White: Ekaksh.

This is so creepy but I exactly had seven friends in my previous school but no Suraini. I would tell you about all of it when we reach the end of the book which has a very long time.

Also I will be updating the first chapter OF Smriti again because I did not like how it was written. It appears more like a history book and in some places the narration or tone sound modern.

The rest of the chapters will be the same as it is.

There is more to Smriti, Chitra and Suraini and I hope what I have in mind is brought out over here. But anyway good bye for now.

Smile, spread love and be kind ❤️
