STUPID CALL

At night

Shivaay was sitting before his laptop in his room but his mind was constantly having the thought of anika.

"tu kyun usske baare mein soch raha hai?" He spoke to no one in particular.

He opened his phone to divert his mind. But unconsciously his fingers tapped his contact list and the first name flash in the list was "Anika". After battling with his mind he decided to call her.

"Ring Ring" anika's phone rang.

Anika: iss waqt kon phone kar raha hai?

"Hello who's this" she asked picking the call.

"Shivaay Singh Oberoi" came as reply.

Anika(smiled): oh hello Mr. Oberoi. Bataiye kaise yaad kiya iss dost ko?

Shivaay: sorry to disturb you at this time.

Anika: aree it's okay. Waise bhi kuch khas kaam nahi kar rahi thi.

Shivaay: maine yeh puchne ke liye call kiya tha ke humne jo deal sign ki hai. Uss project ko hum kab shuru kare?

"Seriously Shivaay?" His inner self mocked him.

Anika: Aap ko koi problem na ho toh next week?

Shivaay: next week toh possible nahi hai. Ya toh do hafte baad ya iss week ho sakta hai.

Anika: iss week toh mere liye possible nahi hai. Toh do hafte baad shuru karte hai.

Shivaay: okay. No problem

Anika: waise mujhe laga ke aapne as a friend call kiya hai. Par mera toh popat ho gaya.

Shivaay(chuckled): waise friend se yaad aaya. Tumhari best friend ka mood kaisa hai? Gussa toh nahi hai?

Anika: aree nahi koi gussa nahi hai. Woh bas nakhre hai madam ke. Aap uss ki tension mat lijiye.

Shivaay: nahi aisi baat nahi hai. Woh meri wajah se tumhein sunday ko bhi meeting mein aana pada issiliye.

Anika: it's alright.

Shivaay: bas yeh hi baat thi bye.

Anika: ya bye. Good night

Shivaay: good night

They hunged the call.

"Kya tha yeh Shivaay? Itni silly si baat ke liye kon call karta hai? Kya soch rahi hogi mere baare mein?" He asked his own self. "Jo bhi soche. Why are you worried? Tujhe koi farak nahi padna chahiye." He answered. "Exactly. Main kyun itna soch raha hun?" He shrugged his thoughts off and slept.

Here anika was thinking about the phone convo.

"Yeh shivaay ne kya sach mein itti si baat ke liye phone kiya tha?" She thought. " Saav confusing maanas che (such confusing man he is). Anyway chaal anika akhi raat kadhvani che kaame lago (anyways. Leave all that anika you have to spend whole night. Get back to work)" shrugging her thought she continued her work.

Days passed. The Oberois were back from their holiday. Shivaay and Anika were busy in their own world. While Bela and Mahir talked regularly

In the evening

Shivaay was working in his room. OmRuHir came to him.

Rudra: bhaiyaa...

He came and sat beside him.

Shivaay: bolo

Rudra: kya kar rahe ho?
