2 days!

2 days until NCT comes to the US and you'll meet all of them.

You have been having meetings with all of the makeup artists, and your boss. They are all complementing you on your work. They are amazed by your plans and the profiles you made. You couldn't be happier.

This morning you're going to call with kind off your only friends who lives in Seoul right now.

You find it difficult on your own. You have always lived with people around you so it's weird to be alone. But it's been like this for almost a year and you kind off got used to it.

You mis Chaeryoung. She has always been there for you and now you rarely talk. You still have to tell her about your whole NCT job. She will be over the moon.

Thanks to her you got into K-pop. She made you addicted, fall into a kind of black hole. You're stuck and surrounded with K-pop content and you can't seem to leave. It is addictive. NCT may not be your number one group, but it certainly is Chaeryoung's.

She is mostly obsessed with Jungwoo and Mark. You like them too, but your bias is Lucas. And he'll always be.

Your phone rings.

Yes, that'll be Chaeryoung!!

"Hey bestie," You hear her say over the phone. "Hey ChaeChae!! Long time no seen, oh wait, long time no talk."

You hear her chuckle. You don't think of yourself as funny, but it makes you happy that you made her laugh.

"So how is it going with my lonely friend on the other side of the world?" She asks.

"Well about me... I have some interesting news!" I tell her enthusiastically.

"OMG finally, did you find someone, what's his name, yay tell me you have been alone for so long, I'm so happy you have opened your heart again!"

It would be nice if you had found someone. You had a terrible experience when you were younger. When you were 13 till 15 years old you were in a relationship with a boy. You had an amazing time with him, you gave everything to him. You were planning your future together. He was the one. You knew it for sure. But he thought differently. He cheated on you. With your, now ex, best friend. They got together and were dating in secret while he was smooth-talking you and convincing you you two will be together forever. It was heartbreaking when you saw them kissing in the alleyway behind the school building. That's when everything went wrong. He dumped you, you were broken. Until the point that you gave up your school. You screwed up everything you had, school, friends and your family. All thanks to him. The only one who stood by you was Chaeryoung. Ever since, she is always trying to convince you that not all boys are like him. She always wants you to move on and find the right one.

You chuckle. "No ChaeChae, I did not find a boy, I'm sorry. I wish I found someone but, I have to be honest even better news."

"Oh really? What can be better than finding your significant others?!" She practically yells in the phone.

You laugh out loud. "ChaeChae just let me tell you, you'll love it for sure!"

You hear her sigh. "Okay tell me... but you better not disappoint me!"

"Okay so you know about my job?"
"Yes, as an assistant for that boss of a big makeup company, right?"
"Yes indeed, so he accepted a very big project. But it includes K-pop..." You pause.

"Okay this sounds good." Chaeryoung says.

"So because the company has no experience with K-pop kind of projects and jobs. And my boss heard me talking on the phone with you about NCT. He asked me about it and asked me if I wanted to lead and manage the project he just accepted..."

You hear Chaeryoung squeal. "Omg you are a project manager on a K-pop project?! You freaking serious!! That is amazing!!" She yells in your ear.

"Yes! Yes! I am serious! I am leading a freaking project! I am a manager! It is sooo amazing! I'm so excited and you don't even know the best part!" You squeal back.

"Wait... it can get even better?!" She asks.

"Yes omg! I am not only the manager. I get to meet, control and tour with the group...!" You say overenthusiastic.

"OMG! YOU ARE GOING TO TOUR WITH A K-POP GROUP! ARE YOU FLIPPING SERIOUS?! WHAT GROUP?! WHAT GROUP?!" Chaeryoung yells.

"Yes that is the best part ChaeChae. The group I'm going to tour with is....." You build up the tension to tease her.

"OMG Y/N TELL ME FREAKING RIGHT NOW WHO YOU ARE GONNA TOUR WITH!" She rants.

"IM GOING TO TOUR WITH FLIPPING NCT!!!!" You yell in the phone.

The line grows quiet.

"ChaeChae? Are you still there?" You ask worried.

You hear a soft gasp. She clears her throat.

"So if I'm correct." She says. "You are going to tour with NCT, meet them, touch their faces while doing there makeup and you are the boss of the whole project?"

You nod, but of course she can't see that. "Yes, that's correct." You say.

"And you waited until now to tell me, when are they coming to the US?" She continues.

"Omg I am truly sorry I just tell you this now, but I have known this for 5 days now and I have been working my ass off to complete everything before they come." You apologise.

"Okay I understand but when are they coming?" Chaeryoung asks.

"They are coming in two days ChaeChae! I have not been sleeping and I'm high on nerves and excitement!" You admit to her.

"Holly shit! Two days?! So that meant that you had 7 days to complete all the work before they get there and that you have like no time to even think about what you need to pack for the tour or to get a new haircut?!" She hyperventilates.

"Omg ChaeChae call down. I'm fine. I just had a haircut and I started packing since the moment I got home after my boss told me. I am fully packed and ready for everything. I only need to find out how I am going to calm down." You calm her down.

"Okay but you'll be fine! They will like you! Don't worry. You're very likeable!" She reassures you.

You relax. "Thank you ChaeChae. I was so excited to finally tell you."

"Yes!!! Of course. You always need to tell me everything. When on tour. Send me messages every night to tell what happened. Even if nothing happened. Tell me nothing happened. This is the most exciting thing that is going to happen in your and my life! So keep me updated every minute!" She says to you.

You laugh. "Okay ChaeChae! I need to get to work now so I need to go. But thank you for listening and making the time to talk with me! I'll keep you updated!"

"You better indeed. And I have always time for you bestie! Goodbye and we will talk soon!" She says goodbye.

"Goodbye ChaeChae!" You yell in the phone and hang up.

Eugh, you miss her already. She is such a energetic part of your life. When she leaves you feel kind of empty. You actually really need her. She is weird, but a must in your life. You hope you can see her soon again.
