This seemed to catch Michonne's attention. Everyone stood and followed the man outside. There was a blonde standing outside of the gate, holding onto a walker with no jaw. She let go of it, as Rick let her in.
The man immediately shut the gate and pushed her against it, he patted her down, taking her gun and knife. "Welcome back." He said sarcastically.
I stood there watching her say hello to everyone, I didn't plan on getting to know her because she wasn't staying.
I felt someone standing next to me, looking over it was Daryl. He gave me a curt nod before looking back at Andrea. I soon zoned back into the conversation to Andrea saying, "He said, you shot first."
This made the man standing next to angry. "We had the field, until your boyfriend busted down the gates, letting walkers in. Then he shot up the place."
This made the woman real quiet.
Rick eventually let her into the prison, but she didn't get to go in the cellblock.
Andrea spotted Carol holding the baby, "Can I?" Carol looked at Rick who just nodded, she handed her over to Andrea. "Where is Lori? Shane?" She asked.
This is when no one met her eyes or said anything. "She died due to complications during childbirth. Carl had to keep her from coming back." Hershel finally spoke up.After a little while, Andrea gave the baby back to Carol. Her eyes spotted me and she walked over.
Jacob came out of the cellblock, immediately coming over to me. "Where's Daryl?"
"Not sure, Munchkin. Why don't you go ask Rick?" I said, he nodded and ran over to Rick.
Andrea stuck her hand out for me to shake, so I did. "Who is that?"
"That's Jacob, my son," I said.
"Where's his father?" She asked. She seemed to always have a lot of questions.
"I'm his father, but that doesn't concern you." Daryl walked into the common area, and Jacob ran to him, lifting his arms. Daryl proceeded to pick the boy up. "Shouldn't you be leaving?"
The woman nodded, she told Rick that she would talk to the Governor and see if there was a peaceful outcome. Rick gave her knife and gun back and she proceeded to leave.
That evening everyone sat around in the cell block listening to Beth, Hershel's youngest sing a beautiful song. Everyone was having a good time, one by one people started to head to sleep.Soon it was just Daryl and me, I knew we needed to talk.
"Thanks for keeping em' safe." He said, looking at the boy in my arms. "How did you find him?"
"It was no problem, I'm glad I did. He kept me going all those years. Oh, your brother broke into my house, looked around then left him there, saying he had to go find you." As I said this, Daryl took it all in. He looked angry at the last part which didn't surprise me.
Trying to change the subject so there wouldn't be a fight, "You don't mind him calling me mom?"
Daryl shook his head, "He never had a mom, the bitch left after she had em'. She was a one-night stand when she found out, she wanted to get rid of em'. But I stopped her because he was my blood." He looked into my green eyes and let out a disappointed laugh.
"I want you to move your cell closer to mine, I want to be able to see Jacob when he wakes up." Daryl finished.
We both stood, Daryl took Jacob from my arms walking up to the second floor. He laid him on the bed that was in the office which was next to the perch that Daryl slept at.
Both Daryl and I grabbed our things moving them into the space. He gave me a nod and I laid down falling into a dreamless sleep.
