I wrote this during a 15-hour car ride, so I had lots of time, and the plot had even formed beforehand. Gilbert is such a good character, and he's a real gentleman.
Note: Basically, in this book Gilbert was more friends with Anne, not in love like in the books and series. Anne doesn't love him either, so there's no jealousy : )
