A blur.

Imagine the world around just moving around you in a slow motion with a blur around it to where you can't see what's happening.

"Dakota"

What do you do?

"Kota"

Dakota sat on the ground in front of her son's closed hospital room. She stares at the doors waiting for her son to run out of the room and into her arms but she knows that it will never happen.

Dakota opens the brown door and walks inside to see Ares hooked on to many tubes. She sniffles as she covers her mouth with her hand and walks further into the room.

"Oh my sweet baby" She whispered softly as she walks to his bed side looking down at his body. She took his hand in hers and sobs kissing his hand softly.

"My baby boy" she cries out and shakes her head.

Turning her head up to the ceiling she closed her eyes tight and gripped onto Ares' hand. "Don't take my baby from me please. Please don't take him"

Dakota looked back at her baby boy and just stared at him as she hoped for his greenish gray eyes to open again and look at him.

"Why God why" she mumbled and sat down in a chair before putting her head down on the bed shaking her head as she keeps mumbling "why god why"

"I don't know what to do" Knox said leaning against the wall as he stares at his sister was still staring at the brown hospital door. Zyria looked at Dakota and sighed looking back down at the ground.

"I don't know either" she mumbled and Knox sighed raising his fist and punching the wall. Zyria jumped and looked at him as he began to pace.

"God what am I suppose to do" Knox said to himself and paced around the hallways shaking his head.

"Ms.Stone I need this is the time where I tell you to prepare yourself" The doctor said as he stood at the end of Ares' bedside with a brown clipboard in his hand. Dakota shook her head repeatedly and Knox frowned clenching his hands into fists.

"No now is time for you to do whatever you can to help that little boy" Knox said but the Doctor looked at him in pity as he shook his head.

"We done everything we can son. Ares has stage four cancer with a collapsed lung and suffered from many brain bleeds. Now we stopped the chemo because it was making it worse but sir now without the chemo he is getting worse." The doctor explained.

"This child has suffered enough Mr and Ms.Stone. He can't take anymore." The nurse who was standing next to the doctor said as she looked at Knox and Dakota.

"I'm sorry. You don't tell a sadden family that" The doctor said before looking at the nurse angrily  and shaking his head.

"I apologize" the nurse said before leaving the room quietly. The doctor excused himself and left the room as well leaving Knox and Dakota to themselves.

"So what do you want to do" Knox asked Dakota and she sighed looking at Ares.

"Knox please calm down. Your sister needs some space right now and you can't fix anything for her." Zyria said grabbing Knox's arm.

"Zyria that's my sister I can't just let her be while she is hurting" Knox said shaking his head but Zyria sighed grabbing his face and making him look at her.

"Your sisters needs to go through this alone. You can't help her Knox. She needs to be alone" Zyria said and Knox stared into her eyes before sighing as he nodded.

"I don't want to lose him Knox" Dakota said staring at Ares who was only breathing a breath a minute. Knox was seated on the ground staring at the bed not saying at word.

"Knox what am I going to do" Dakota said running her hands through her hair.

"I don't know" was all Knox said before he stood up and walked over to Dakota.

"But I do know that whatever you decide I will be okay with okay? And that I will be here for you always Dakota." Knox mumbled rubbing Dakota's arm.

"I don't want to decide anything about my son's death Knox!" Dakota yelled and Knox sighed moving away from her.

"Hey" Zyria said as she sat down next to Dakota on the floor. Dakota didn't respond and Zyria sighed before grabbing Dakota's hand putting some orange jello in it.

"I'm going to sit here until you take at least three bites of this." Zyria said and Dakota didn't respond but Zyria didn't move. She leaned back against the wall and stared at the door as well.

"I will need you to sign these papers" a nurse said handling Dakota a clipboard with papers. Dakota stared at the papers and didn't move her hand to sign her name.

"Just give her some time please" Knox said sitting next to his sister. The nurse nodded and left the room quietly.

"I have to write a signature to stop the oxygen that is keeping my son alive but suffering. If I don't sign it then I would have to watch my son suffer and then slowly die." Dakota said slowly and stared at Ares.

Knox didn't say anything and stared at the papers with a small frown. Dakota shook her head and teared up looking down at the papers. She sighed softly and slowly put her hand down the paper and signed her name.

"I h-have to s-sign my n-name s-so that t-they can k-kill my son" Dakota cried and pressed the button for the nurse to come back.

"Dakota-"

"Don't" she said and stood up as the nurse walked into the room. She shoved the clipboard into the nurses hands and walked out of the room.

"Dakota are you okay" Knox said sitting next to Dakota who still had the jello in her hand; uneaten.

No response

A sigh was escaped from Knox's lips and he looked down at the ground.

"I love you Dakota and I just want to help you." He said but Dakota didn't respond.

"We will count to ten then slowly turn of-" The nurse was cut off by Knox's waving hand. The nurse nodded and took a look at a silent Dakota who was staring at Ares with a hard look.

"Okay" The nurse said before slowly counting to ten. Dakota held his hand and kissed the back of his hand softly.

"You are my amazing baby boy. I just want you to know that I will always love and miss you." Dakota said softly to Ares as she rubbed his hand.

"Mommy will see you again baby boy and we will be able to play forever and be happy" she added and nodded for the nurse to continue who stopped when she started talking.

The nurse began to turn the medicine off and for the next few minutes Dakota listened to Ares' breath slowly stopped as Knox held her other hand watching as his little sister cried for her son.

"I love you" she cried to her son as his heart beat monitor flatlined. She looked at the monitor and began to cry loudly. She stood up and laid her head on top of Ares stomach gripping his body.

"Ares"

"Ares"she kept repeating as she cried and Knox shook his head gripping the hospital bed.

Zyria stood out of the hospital room looking into the hospital door window. She cried silently as she watched the two siblings cry for the lost of their love one.
