I felt all the tension leave my body as I lied on my bed.

My comfy, comfy bed.

How I've missed you! I thought as I hugged one of my pillows. You'd think I'd have had enough of lying down in beds after these last four days, but there's something special about returning back to your own bed after you've been away for a bit. It doesn't matter how uncomfortable it was before you left. When you came back, it was like lying on a cloud.

I took a moment to look up at my ceiling as I processed everything that happened.

Honestly, it's hard to believe that all of this has happened over a handful of weeks. It's exhausting to think about, but not un-thrilling.

When we all got to our apartments, Jack just said goodnight, and truthfully, I didn't have the energy to pursue 'the talk' with him. Des basically crashed once she got to her room, and now, in the middle of the night, I find that I can't sleep a wink. Figures, right?

I turned on my side and looked at the bag that held my costume. I had placed it on my desk chair, and now, I felt like it was calling me.

Before I could think better of it, I got up and took it out of the bag.

My costume got wrecked pretty bad, but not so bad that I still couldn't wear it. It was singed around the corners, and there was a hole where she-who-shall-not-be-named blasted me, but it was nothing Des couldn't take care of.

I grabbed the jacket my fashion goddess made to go with it. The sleeves were practically nonexistent, but the symbol was still intact.

"Tempest is like a storm." I recalled Des telling me. "And after every storm, the sun is bound to come out."

"Hope, huh?" I ran my fingers along the golden thread, tracing the swirly sun and lightning bolt.

Just as I was ready to put it down, I heard a scream in the near-distance.

With absolute certainty, I threw the jacket over my shoulders.

For some reason, I couldn't seem to stop myself from smirking. But deep down, I knew why.

I guess that's my cue.
