From here, I could see quite clearly that it was a mass of mud coming out of the cracks in the stone, and the bottom of this area was full of hollowed-out rubble. I didn't know what was going on below, but globs of mud had been sprayed from the cracks. Some flowed down without touching the surface, while others sprayed directly onto the surface from the crevices like fountains.

I scratched a few times at one of the cracks and found that the mud-covered stone was as slippery as oil. I was depressed as I realized I wouldn't be able to get a good foothold. I knew it was useless to shout with all the noise outside, so I used my flashlight to illuminate the gap.

Soon, Fatty rushed over and reached down to pull me out. But he was covered in mud and oil, causing his hand to slip every time he went to grab me. After a long time, he threw down a belt.

As soon as I clasped it in my hand, Fatty pulled me halfway out. The spewing mud outside was getting worse and worse, and I saw a mass of shadows flying into the air in the darkness.

"Can you save me the worry? It's easier to bring my aunt downstairs to the store than worry about you!" Fatty scolded: "Do you have any other skills besides falling into holes?"

"Accident, accident!" I cried, "What the hell is going on here?"

"How should I know?" Fatty retorted.

I looked in the direction of the bronze door, but couldn't see it now because there were cold fireworks everywhere. He helped me walk in Zhang Haixing's direction and I asked him why he had just run.

"The door exploded." Fatty said.

"Is it really so easy to blow up?"

"That's not the point." Fatty said: "All this mud was coming out from the inside. Shit, I thought the flood was coming."

When we reached Zhang Haixing, she was standing on a big rock smoking a cigarette and looking around. Fatty continued, "But the situation is better than I thought since all this mud rushed under the cracks in the rock. It looks like the canyon is very deep, and there's still considerable depth under the gravel we're standing on. If these stones hadn't fallen and filled up the bottom, the gate would've been halfway up the mountain."

The amount of mud must be so large, that after rushing into the bottom of the canyon, the big impact washed a lot of it up from the gap. If it weren't for Fatty's quick reaction, we would've been swept away if we had run any slower.

"Why is there so much mud behind the bronze door?"

"That's just how it is. If you listen to the sound, the area behind the door is full of mud. The bronze door is like a dam, sealing all the mud inside."

"But when Little Brother went in that time, nothing came out."

"That's because the situation has changed. We have to go in and see what's going on. I hope the canyon's long enough to drain all the mud inside. Let's wait. We won't be able to walk for a while anyway since the rocks here were loosened in the rush."

As Fatty said this, a mass of mud directly landed on the stone beside us, and we all dodged. I found that the mud was like a very thick film, and when touched, it was like chewing gum that couldn't be rubbed off. I vaguely felt disgusted.

Zhang Haixing behaved more calmly than we did. She was covered in mud, smoking, and looking around while completely ignoring us.

We couldn't do anything and simply waited there for a while, gradually calming down as we got used to the noise. Even though the cold fireworks went out one by one, and darkness returned to our surroundings, it wasn't so terrible since we knew the situation.

After seven hours, the noise began to decrease, and as it slowly subsided, I became unaccustomed to it.

Going from extremely noisy to extremely quiet, I slowly entered a meditative state until I couldn't hear a sound around me. Fatty was the first to breathe.

"It's over." Fatty said: "What did this mountain eat to have such watery diarrhea?"

"It's already disgusting. We'll have to go in later, so stop joking and let us live, will you?" Zhang Haixing said, slowly increasing the flashlight's brightness and taking a look around.

Almost all of the stones around us were covered with black mud, including us. Even if we were only splashed, almost no place was spared after such a long time.

Fatty shook his hands, cracking some of the mud that had already solidified on parts of his body. He cracked it easily, tearing off whole pieces that were stuck to him.

"Shit, this stuff is really good for blackheads." Fatty said, ripping more off his face.

After studying my appearance, I also started to roughly clean myself up. When I was done, I turned on my flashlight, stepped on a stone, and went back to the bronze gate.

I was stunned at the sight. We had set off a grenade thinking it would only blow a butt-sized hole, but the crumbling gap in the bronze door in front of us was huge.

At the very least, there was a huge hole as high as ten people that was opened outward. Apparently formed when the mud rushed out, this dark hole looked like a grinning mouth. The black mud glued to the bronze door had turned into a lot of sticky strips, hanging in the sharp openings that had been created.

Fatty lit it with a flashlight and said, "It's like a wound."
