The bones were piled high, and those above the water were dry and fragile, turning into dust when Short Feng pinched them.

Being choked by human bone powder really wasn't a pleasant experience. Fatty and I instinctively retreated, as inhaling strange things in such a place was a big taboo.

Short Feng coughed a few times, but nothing else happened to him. We wrapped our clothes around our noses and mouths and began to remove the bones.

There were more than forty craftsmen in total, which wasn't a small number. Since the bones were badly weathered and fractured, I couldn't determine which ones were phalanges, and it was only when a relatively complete body was moved that I could see the complete hand bones. Strangely enough, I didn't see the features I was looking for.

It looked like not every Zhang family member had that deformity.

After revealing the stone door, we tried to push and pull it before determining that it was a push door. These people must have been trying to push the door open. The door shaft was relatively strong and didn't break, and we found that after pushing, the back of the door was blocked by a heavy object.

Fatty took a few steps back and flew up, but when the meat bomb hit, he was bounced back and fell into the water with his feet in the air. The result was the same even with the three of us, and all I got was a swollen shoulder.

There was a big gap in the stone door, so Fatty took the torch and tried to find out what was blocking our way. We pressed our faces to the crack and tried to look inside while Fatty pulled out a piece of wire from his shoe, tied it to the torch, and poked it in.

The gap was as wide as a palm and ran from the top of the door all the way to the bottom. We soon saw the outline of the thing that was blocking the door. It was made of bronze and was standing right in front of the door.

I had experience with such disappointment and told myself that it was just another piece of junk. Just as I was looking at the bottom to see if there was a way to pry it up, the bronze thing behind the door turned, and then a face appeared in the gap.
