Christmas Part 2 ~ Jensen

You anxiously pace the length of the hallway that connects all of the bedrooms and the bathroom that currently sat empty and locked. Jensen was outside on the wrap around porch, shoveling the snow that was still currently falling, "It ain't gonna shovel itself!" He joked before placing a kiss on your cheek and pulling on his gloves.

You had been waiting for a moment of privacy since you and your husband had arrived at your winter cabin and now seemed as good a time as ever. So you hurried to the bathroom the moment he pulled the door shut behind him and pulled the box of pregnancy tests out of your bag.

You hadn't said anything to Jensen when you bought them, but your period had been over a week late and part of you just knew, but you needed to see the proof.

So here you were, pacing outside of the bathroom, nibbling on the sides of your fingers as you waited for the four pregnancy tests to finish. When the timer on your phone went off, you nearly jumped out of your skin, but with a calming breath you held up the butter knife that would work perfectly to unlock the bathroom door.

You weren't quite sure why you locked the door, but once you had closed it behind yourself, you didn't have much of a choice but to go in search of something to unlock it with.

Your hands trembled as you stared at the four sticks sat upon the counter, all face down. You reached out slowly and brought the first one into your hand, NEGATIVE.

You breathed out a sigh, partially sad, partially relieved. Just to make sure, you grabbed the next test with an eased smile before turning it over, POSITIVE.

Your eyes grew wide as you studied the test, double checking to see if that's what it said, you quickly grabbed up the other two and saw that they both read positive as well.

Your hands were shaking with nerves and excitement when you heard the front door slam shut, the wind probably pushing it into a hard close. You thought about how you should do this. Should you wait to tell him? Should you tell him now?

"Sweetheart!" Jensen's voice booming through the small cabin finalized your decision, you needed to tell him now.

Gathering up all of the tests, you slowly stepped out of the bathroom, just as Jensen stepped into the hall, his face morphed into a smile once he saw you and he quickly moved towards you, "There you-" He froze once he saw what was in your hands and you gave him a meek smile.

"Are those..." He trailed off, pointing the the tests in your hands, when you nodded excitedly, he raised a questioning eyebrow at him, as if to ask you if you were pregnant and you once again nodded with a teary smile.

"Yeah, I-I think so." You said softly and he smiled wide before scooping you up in his arms with a loud, contagious laugh that you couldn't help but join.

"We finally did it, baby!" He shouted excitedly while holding you close to him. You had finally managed to conceive after almost a year of trying. Christmas was definitely your lucky holiday!
