A few months passed, and the Name Voldemort soon rose to popularity. Everyone feared the name, and no one dared to speak it. Calling upon most of the people who were branded,  he rose to power. Only a handful of people who had the mark were able to resist, and these people lived happy lives, in aware of the war that would soon reach its peak.
Not long after the Name became popular, the death of a former Hogwarts student was floating around. Regulas black, was supposibly killed while trying to destroy the locket of Slytherin. The only one who could have confirmed his death, was none other than Peter Pettigrew, who was somebody James and his friends haven't heard from in a while. Little did he know that a surprise visit awaited him at dawn the next morning.
---
Barely waking up, Severus rubbed his eyes tiredly, before a screeching Harry was heard. He sighed, as he went to pick up the wailing boy. Making his way downstairs, a knock on the door was heard.
"Sit here Harry, Dada needs to see who's at the door." Upon setting him down, the knocks grew louder, "Will you call your Arse! I'm coming."
The door opened with a slight creak, and Severus stepped away, his eyes wide with shock. There on the doorstep was Peter Pettigrew.
"Dammit Severus. It's fucking below twenty degrees out here!" He shouted, rubbing his hands together to warm them up, "What the bloody hell took you so long!?"
"Still as short tempered as always I see." Severus responded, letting him inside, "make yourself at home, I'll go wake James."
Peter found himself wondering through the house. It was nicely decorated, and it smelled of Mint. An odd smell, but it matched the rooms Aura. Soon, A confused Peter found himself in front of a smiling baby who was sitting patiently in a high chair.
"Bloody Hell. Just how busy did these two get." He muttered to himself, as he took a seat across from Harry, "Can you talk yet? How old are you?" (Yes. I headcannoned that Peter would sit and have try to have a conversation with Harry.)
Peter stared at the baby, irritation grew in his eyes. He was clearly becoming frustrated with the child who looked to be about seven months old.
"Say something dammit." Peter growled, banging his fist on the table.
"Oi. What's with all this ruckus?" James snickered, before stopping dead in his tracks, "Peter?"
"Been a while Mate."
---
"Where the Bloody he'll have you been mate?" James laughed, as he rubbed Peter's hair vigorously.
"Y'know. Here, there, and stuff like that." Peter muttered, pulling down his left sleeve, "Anyways. What have you been doing?"
"Eh, just trying to raise a kid with the grump that's in the kitchen." James replied.
"How's Remus and Sirius?" Peter asked suddenly, "And what about Lily?"
"Dear Merlin calm down. Sirius and Remus are fine, they actually live down the road from here." James flicked his hand in the air, "And Lily, well she Gave birth to young Harry over there, and she lives around the corner actually."
"Does she not get custody over the child?"
"She does." Severus interrupted, "But upon her decision, she only sees him once a month."
The room fell silent. No words were spoken, just the four of them sat there, nothing to say.
"H-have you heard..." Peter asked, breaking the silence, "A-About Regulas..."
Frowning, James put his arm around his friend, "Yeah. I heard..."
"H-Hes gone James..." Peter mumbled, tears sliding down his face, "He's really gone!"
Rubbing circled onto his back, James tried his best to comfort the crying male.
"Why couldn't we have just lived a normal life!?" He sobbed harder, "Why couldn't it have been me? I wanted a family with him!"
---
The hours passed, and Peter but his farewell. Now knowing that his friends were doing well, and having had been able to talk with one of them, Peter could now execute his plan. (If your wondering where Sirius and Remus are, they were out for the night since It was a full moon, and they haven't returned, and Lily has a cold.)
---
"Finally." The voice spoke, "I have risen to power."
Turning to everyone in the hall, the man turned. His hair fell in his face, and his green eyes could pierce through anyone. (Idk if he had green eyes. But I'm making him have green eyes in this book.)
"I am Lord Voldemort." He spoke, "And you all are my Faithful Army."
Looking down the table, Voldemort realized there was one empty chair, "I'm missing somebody." Pressing the mark on his hand, he retrieved the Name of the one missing, "Who has any knowledge of the whereabouts of Severus Snape?"
Worried, Lucius stared at the ground. Only lurring Voldemorts attention.
"Malfoy. Do you have knowledge of his where abouts."
Breaking out into a cold sweat, Lucius looked up to answer, but was quickly interupted, "I do My lord."
Peter stood up, Gathering up all the attention, "But before I give him up, "I want to see him one last time, for old time sakes."
Clicking his tongue, Voldemort allowed.
---
"I'm Sorry James. But this has to happen." Peter spoke to himself, as he disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
---
"James. I'm worried." Severus spoke, staring at Harry playing with his toys.
"And why is that dear?" James replied, reading the daily prophet.
"Shouldn't Harry be babbling by Now? I mean look at Draco, he's already been babbling."
"Now, Now, Severus, Harry is just a late bloomer, I'm sure he'll be fine.
