Finally, the last day at Hogwarts arrived, and everyone was in a big hurry to get ready for tonight's ceremony. Well all but one, James Potter wasn't eager to graduate, what he was eager about was going to happen after the ceremony.
"What if he doesn't say yes." James muttered, pacing back in fifth the Gryffindor common room, "What if he says he doesn't like me anymore! What if he-"
"Chill out mate." Sirius said, smacking the back of his head.
"But what if-"
"Shush, we will have no more of you thinking he won't say yes." Sirius replied, "He loves you James."
"You're right."
---
Severus was walking around the castle aimlessly looking for James. He turned the corner to the great hall, finding him there talking To Lucius.
"James!" He called out, catching the raven haired boys attention.
"S-Sev-" He muttered.
"I've been looking for you all day..." Severus spoke, "Can we talk in private?"
James looked over at Lucius, who shook his head slowly, "You know what Sev, I'm kinda busy right now... I'll talk to you later.."
James walked off, and Severus pouted slightly, "What's wrong with him, he always wants to talk to me."
"I don't know, Gryffindor boys will be idiots." Lucius said, walking up next to Severus.
Severus looked up at Lucius, something wasn't right, "You know exactly what's wrong don't you?"
"W-Wha-"
"You never talk to James willingly, And I know for a fact you wouldn't talk to him alone," Severus paused, "So what did you tell him."
The last part came out more of a demand, rather than a question.
"Look Sev. I don't know anything, and even if I did. I'm not going to tell you." Lucius replied.
Lucius staggered away, and Severus stayed frozen in one spot, Lucius always told him everything. Always.
---
Severus spent the whole day looking around for James, but it was no luck he was no where to be seen. Instead, Severus went looking for Lily, or even one of his other friends. He shuddered at the thought that he would have to talk to one of them alone.
He walked out into the courtyard, seeing Lily talking with Rose, who was crying. Not wanting to ruin their moment, he decided to hide behind one of the pillars, and eaves drop into their conversation.
"Rose.. What's the matter? Why are you crying?" Lily spoke, he tone sweet and gentle as always.
"L-Lily... I-" she stuttered in between sobs, "I don't know how to say this.."
"You can tell me anything Rose.. I really do love you.." Lily caressed Roses cheeks.
"That's the thing, I love you too... B-But." Rose muttered, wiping away her tears, "I don't want you to hate me.."
"Oh sweet Rose, I would never hate you.." She replied, leaning in to kiss her forehead.
"Lily stop." Rose demanded, standing up, "If you keep doing this. It will make it harder for me to say what I need to say."
"Them what is it you need to say?" Lily asked, standing up to fave Rose.
"I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU!" She shouted, before turning to leave in a hurry.
"R-Rose wait!-" Lily called after her, but the black haired female was no where to be seen. (I apologize if Rose doesn't have black hair.)
Severus sighed as he saw Lily sit down, hiding her face into her hands as she sobbed silently.
"Lily?" Severus asked, sitting down next to her.
She looked up at him, her red hair falling in her face, while tears fell down her cheeks, "S-Sev?"
"Yeah it's me... I saw what happened, are you alright?" He asked, holding out his arms, motioning for Lily to hug him.
She rushed to his arms, crying into his robes, "I'm sorry sev! I should be strong but... I loved her so much!"
"People will be like that sometimes... Even if you love them... You always have to let go.." Severus looked away, as he too began to feel tears well up in his eyes, "Maybe this would have turned out better, if she returned the love.."
---
James watched from the window, he was gazing at how Severus was so quick to offer her comfort. He was perfect husband material. Especially if they ever have kids.
"Oi! Potter." James turned around to see Lucius Malfoy, only 6 feet away, "The ceremony is in an hour, And then your proposal. Are you ready?"
"I guess..." James sighed.
"What's wrong?" Lucius asked, trying his hard to be considerate of his feelings.
"It's just, since you told me all that stuff yesterday, I can't help but wonder if he really will say yes..."
"James. Your beating yourself up too much, I'm sure he will say yes, he wants to marry you."
"Really?"
"Of course. Now go get ready." Lucius replied, smiling as he watched James run down the hall and disappear.
---
"I have had the honor of being your headmaster through out all of your years here at Hogwarts!" Dumbledore spoke, "And I am proud to announce that this group of Seventh years have all graduated from Hogwarts! Now they can go on forth and travel across the black lake, and step foot into the real world of Wizards and Witches!"
Everyone cheered as the group of Seventh years ran out of the hall, and down towards the the lake, ready to have their memories flood in.
"Potter. Are you ready?" Lucius asked, coming up behind him.
"I'm having second thoughts-" James responded, being greeted with Sirius, once again slapping the back of his head.
"Chill out mate. I'll be in the boat with you, if you have second thoughts just talk to me." James smiled and nodded.
"Alright let's do this!" James shouted, getting in a boat along with Sirius.
"James wait-" Severus called, before he saw the boat drift itself through the water, "I want to talk to you..."
---
Halfway through the ride, the boats came to a complete halt, upon James using the spell Remus had taught him. Everyone else's boats began to circle around the boats that contained James and Severus. Fireflies came out and lit up the area, exposing James leaning over the side of the boat.
"James what are you doing?" Severus asked.
"Something I should've done a while aho.." Severus perked up, as he began sweating.
"Wait James! I don't want to break up-" Severus pause as he saw James get on one knee in his boat, pulling out an engagement ring, "J...James..."
"Severus Snape. I know we haven't always gotten along, and I know I haven't been the best Lover there ever was. But Jeez you make me happy... And I want to continue to be this happy with you." James paused, and Severus began crying, "So will you make me the happiest man alive, and say that you will Marry me?"
Severus hesitated, and James's confidence slowly began leaving him, "Yes!"
James's eyes lit up, as he smiled like the biggest idiot imaginable. He leaned over the boats, wanting Severus to lean closer so he could kiss him, But what James had forgotten was that there was still a gap between the boats, causing him to fall in the water below. His smile still not leaving him.
"James! For Marlins sake! Are you alright?" James shouted pulling him back into the boat.
James still continued to smile like an idiot as he lifted the spell, letting everyone else move along the lake again, "He said yes... He said Yes!"
Severus blushed lightly, as he faced forward, ready to get onto the platform.
Lucius smirked over at Sirius, who returned the expression, "I still don't like you."
"And I still don't like you." Sirius replied, causing them both to laugh.
---
"James... What am I going to do?" Severus muttered, leaning on James's shoulder in their train compartment that was shared with Sirius and Remus. Peter was who knows where, and Lily was sharing a compartment with Arthur and Molly.
"With what Severus?" James replied, laying his head on top of Severus's.
"My father.. I can't go back to him and tell him I'm getting married to a guy..."
"You won't have too." James stated.
"W-Why?" Severus asked, trembling at what he could mean.
"Cause me and James are going to get you stuff." Sirius chimed in, resting his arms being his head, "You are going to be living with James's parents until you find a house together."
"My parents have already prepared a room for you." James replied.
Severus once again began crying, as he never thought he would ever be able to leave his abusive father, and his neglectic mother. Severus finally knew he was home, it wasn't at Hogwarts, or with his other Slytherins, it was in fact with James. And this concludes their Hogwarts love story.
-------
I'm gonna cry- but this isn't the end of the book just yet, it's just the end of the chapters containing Hogwarts. Yes I know. This chapter was grungy, and I apologize.
Also to clear a few things up, Remus and Peter weren't really mentioned in this chapter is because Remus was out looking for Peter, who ran off to find Regulas before it was to late.
And Rose only broke up with Lily because after they graduated, she wouldn't be able to see her again, she was going to be traveling the world, where, she will mean Pansy's father.
Also.. I might make this into a three story series, of course the third story won't contain as much Jeverus, but it will be mentioned, idk I'll let y'all decide.
