  I woke up on the couch around noon. It was the most unrestful sleep I'd had in years. Things still weren't going great, but I refused to mention it to any of my friends.

  I woke up to three messages made to ruin my day. The first was a message from Pixie that she had left, but David would be in the house if I needed anything. I was just gonna hope I didn't die with David in the house.

  AJ had left a message in the server saying that she'd be inactive for a while because of family issues. I was really hoping I might be able to go over to her to say hi, but all hopes of that were crushed.

  The last message was by far the worst. Riley had texted me a paragraph.

I'm gonna tell u this before ur landlord contacts u because god knows they'll take their precious time. Ik you're renting from someone who owns your apartment, not the building, so that's gonna take even longer. Anyways, they found a positive case of COVID in ur building, so they're quarantining the whole fucking thing. You won't be able to get back there for two weeks. Worst part is if someone tests positive, let's say in two days, then the 2 weeks starts from that day, until further notice

I don't think hotels r gonna let u in either because most of them r doing background checks to stay COVID free. At least here they are. They might be wildin in Florida

I wouldn't wanna go to a hotel anyways. You know I'm terrified about COVID
I haven't even been in contact with my neighbors recently. I was quarantining for my trip

Well, Pix has this boyfriend, David, and he lives with her and she gave me no warning
He's really scary tbh and he threatened me when we got home last night about hurting Pix, which I think I already did in his book Bc I didn't wanna go into the fucking grocery store because of the people and Pix got all sad and I broke bc he scared me

Is there anything I can do to help u out?

No there really isn't. If BD was here for college I'd talk to her, but she's got that family emergency which is completely understandable. It's just not great for me

  I looked up at David, who was walking out of the kitchen. He looked over at me and stared me down. "What?"

  I shook my head and looked down at my lap. "Nothing. I was just looking up."

  "Really? Just looking up?" David walked a bit closer to me. "You know, you really hurt Elle yesterday, especially when you pointed out that she forgot about your allergy. She was cooking for you and you should've been grateful." He grabbed my chin so that I would look at him. "Listen, you're lucky Elle is coming back soon. I'm giving you one more chance before I kick you out of this house. I pay just as much as Elle. I have a right to." He let go of my jaw. "Be fucking respectful." He walked off to the room that Pixie and him shared and I was left in shock.
