Yena blinked a few times as she registered Taeyong's words into his head. "Excuse me?"

"I really don't want that tattoo. You know, the one you..." Taeyong motioned to his shoulder.

"Yeah, I know what you're talking." Yena said, beginning to eat again. "But why not?"

"I'm scared of needles." Taeyong said, but Yena wasn't exactly convinced.

Mhmm, I'm sure you are.

"Well every member of the gang has it so if you're going to join us, you're going to need it too." Yena pointed out as she ate the breakfast Taeyong made for her, forgetting about what the male had done to her last night.

Damn, Taeyong sure has a talent with cooking.

"That's why I was hoping that you could help me out with that." Taeyong said. "You are a leader right? Doesn't that mean you can do whatever you want?"

Yena instantly regretted looking up from her food as she came face to face with Taeyong looking at her with pleading eyes and pout, making her gulp.

I still don't understand how this man can be the same man that was in the church with me last night.

"Please Yena. I'll continue making delicious meals for you." Taeyong begged, making it even harder for Yena to say no.

Yena looked down at her plate which was almost empty. You could never cook anything remotely close to this.

"Yena-"

"Okay." Yena said, cutting Taeyong off. She couldn't help but wince for agreeing, letting Taeyong get the best of her.

"Wait, really?" Taeyong said, seeming surprised at how quickly she agreed.

"I won't say it again." Yena said, quickly finishing up her food. "You're doing the dishes right?"

Taeyong nodded his head a wide smile on his face. "Yes, I'll do them, don't worry about it. Thank you so much!"

Yena got up from her seat, glancing at Taeyong who seemed to be in a good mood now.

"Good, because we still need to train after this." Yena said before heading to her room to get ready for the day.

...

Maybe she's not so heartless after all, Taeyong thought as he followed Yena down the streets of Neo City.

The girl had her hood over her head and Taeyong found it interesting how she occasionally adjusted it, making sure it stayed over her head. He couldn't help but think about why the girl acted the way she did, none of it making sense to him.

Being a Kim must really be different.

As they passed by a person busking, Taeyong couldn't help but think about the citizens of Neo City that had helped him get this far.

I should meet with them again.

Taeyong had moved his stuff to Yena's place the day he bought groceries, reassuring the two boys that he had secured a connection with a wealthy person. They seemed happy for him but Taeyong felt bad leaving them after all they had done for him. They did tell Taeyong that they would inform the others, so there was no need for him to worry.

Just focus on yourself and your own goal, hyung! That was what Mark had said before the two waved goodbye to him.

Taeyong almost walked into Yena's back as they stopped in front of a building with no signs.

"Just give me a moment." Yena said, taking out her phone and dialing a number.

"Hey Yuta, I'm outside."
