Goodbye (Rini week #3 4)

Nini and Ricky had been together for a long time. So long that some people forgot what life was like before Ricky and Nini started dating. They had their fair share of small arguments, but nothing too serious that they could fix within a day.

That was until their Junior year of college. They had been living together for two years but something happened that made them fight like they had never fought before.

"Fuck you. I can't belive you fucking did this to me." Nini screamed. He screams could probably be heard throughout their whole apartment complex but she didn't care. "I don't know why you're acting like this," he said. "Oh course you don't, because you never cared about me enough to even think how I would feel about this."

"Nini, of course I care about you," he said. "No you don't because if you did, you wouldn't have done this to me" she said, taking a pause before continuing. "I want you out. I don't want to see your face for the rest of the day, come back tomorrow, or don't, I don't care. I just can't look at you right now."

As Ricky made his way to the door Nini said, "You are the reason your family feel apart, and you deserve nothing but hell." At the mention of his family Ricky started crying and ran out the door.

When the door shut behind Ricky Nini rested her back on it and slowly started sliding down the door, her body too heavy for her to hold up as the tears started coming out of her eyes. "That was way too harsh," she thought. "What have I done."

Ricky didn't know where to go after Nini kicked him out, so he ended up driving around until he ended up in front of his father's house.

"I can't believe you," Mike said. "Nini called me a few hours ago, and I can't believe you would ruin her life like this. She had a bright future planned but of course you have to ruin that for her." Mike said he was going to say more, but Ricky ran up to his old room before he could be shamed by his father more.

He made a decision on what to do. The only way he could fix his mistakes.

Ricky left the note on his dresser in his room before grabbing his keys and running out of his dad's house.

3 hours later Nini gets a call from Big Red.

"Nini Ricky's in the hospital please come quick." Big Red said before hanging up the phone not even giving Nini a chance to reply. She quickly got into her car and drove to the hospital as fast as she could.

Red met her at the entrance and lead her to a room that she assumed was Ricky's.

It was. When she walked in she saw Ricky's body, he looked almost dead, and if it wasn't for the fact that his chest was slowly rising and falling, she probably would have thought he was.

"Oh baby" she said walking closer to where he was laying. "What are you doing here" he asked, "I thought you didn't want to see my face anymore."

"I promise you I didn't mean that. I didn't mean anything I said earlier. It was just a lot to take in. This morning I woke up thinking I had a serious stomach condition, and then I went to the doctor and found out I'm not dying. I'm just pregnant. It's a lot to take in and if I'm being honest I was scared. Scared of how you'd react, scared of how society is going to react, scared of having a child in general, and I put all of my fears and anger and put that on you and I'm sorry. I'm really, truly sorry."

Ricky pulled her into a tight hug and they cried together.

"Babe why are you in here," Nini asked into his neck. "I ran in front of a car" he whispered, and pulled her closer to him. "I thought you'd like it better that way" he whispered quieter this time.

"That is the exact opposite of what I want," she said, "You can't knock me up and then leave, you're not my sperm donor of a father" she joked and successfully made him smile.

"You're gonna be a great father, and this may not have been our plan but I think this is going to be the best thing that will ever happen to us" she said pulling away all looking at his face. "I couldn't agree more," he said, planting a short kiss on her lips.

It wasn't goodbye, it was the start of something new.
