Rini One Shots

The Trip (Rini week 4)

Going to England had always been a dream of Nini's. So when she met Gina, a foreign exchange student from London, she was really excited. Her and Gina had become really good friends during Senior year when Gina was in New York for school. And even 2 years after Gina had gone back home her and Nini still kept in touch.

When Nini turned 20 she decided it was time for her to finally fulfill her dream and go to England. So she got in touch with Gina and they talked through a plan.

After texting and facetiming with Ricky she knew she was going to have a very interesting trip to say the least.

Her and Ricky had continued texting and facetiming over the next 2 months. They were both very obviously into each other.

When Nini got to London she was greeted by Ricky. Gina had exams that day so she wasn't able to be there, so Ricky offered to pick her up. She immediately ran up and hugged him. They stood there for a while hugging before deciding to go get lunch.

They clicked instantly. It was like they had known each other since kindergarten. It was  something neither of them had ever experienced before. It was an overwhelming feeling. It was just a state of complete bliss and happiness.

While Gina was busy with her exams Ricky and Nini were spending a lot of time together and had planned a trip to the South of France, where there were a lot of very pretty beaches.

When they went to visit one of the beaches they were walking down the shore when they decided to stop and watch the sunset. Nini sat with her head resting on Ricky's shoulder. "It's so beautiful isn't it," Nini said, staring at the sunset. "Not as beautiful as you," he said, turning slightly so he was facing her. She picked up her head off his shoulder to look at him, their faces nearly touching. Nini placed her hand on his cheek as both of them started leaning in. The kiss was magical. It was as if no one else was on that beach, it was just the two of them.

Today was the day Nini had to go back to New York. There was a lot of crying that day, mostly from Ricky and Nini. It was hard for them to say goodbye.

Gina and Nini said there goodbyes first. They didn't get to hang out as much as they had hoped they would, but they still really enjoyed each other's company.

Gina then left the two alone to say their goodbyes. They hugged each other just as they did the first day they met in person a few weeks ago. "I'm gonna miss you" he said into her hair. "I'm gonna miss you too" she said with tears falling down her face. Ricky gently wiped the tear away with his thumb before cupping her face and kissing her one last time. "Goodbye Ricky" she whispered as they pulled away. "Goodbye Nini" I love you, he wanted to say, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. It would hurt too much to admit me loved a girl that lived 3,00o miles away from him. So he let her walk away.

A month has passed since Nini's trip to England. And Nini and Ricky barely talked. It was hard for both of them. They had both fallen really badly and not seeing each other broke their hearts.

It was raining really badly in New York when Nini heard a knock on her apartment door. When she opened her heart practically exploded. There standing outside her apartment was a rain soaked Ricky Bowen.

"I love you, and I know I probably should have told you sooner but I just hurt too much to know you were so far away and I was hoping if we stayed apart for a little while the pain would go away, but it never did, it only got worse. Nini I love you, so, so, so much and I know this is going to be hard with me living in London and you here in New York but I really want to try to make this work, because I fucking love you Nini Salazar-Roberts." Ricky said.

Nini was speechless, she didn't know what to say. So she pulled him into a very passionate kiss. "I love you too. And I really want to make us work." she said her arms still linked around his neck.

He pulled her into a hug and spun her around lifting her off the ground. "So Nini will you be my girlfriend" he asked after setting her back on the ground. "I  would love to," she said, pulling him into another kiss.

There they were finally happy and together.

Yay a happy ending. I've really loved reading all your comments on the last few chapters. When i wrote this i was also playing crazy 8s with my friends so i was only writing like 2 words at a time. It turned out okay though. See you tomorrow!!
