If there was one person that I didn't expect, it would be my 6-foot and 2-inch brother who plays hockey. A sport where he's used to beating the shit out of those who mess with his teammates. To think about what he'd do to the people who'd hurt his family had even me cowering a step back.

"Why would it matter if she had a boyfriend?" Zach snarled. His hands gripped into his shirt, shoving his face towards his as he spat the words in his face. His feet were inching off the ground, nowhere able to compare to my older brother or his wrath. "Is that really all you need to keep your hands off a woman who doesn't want you??"

He held his hands up. "C'mon man it was just dancing." he tried to say but Zach wasn't having any of it. He slammed his fist through his jaw, beating him to the ground. He sent a punch over and over and over again as if the man was a dummy and not an actual human being.

"Zach!" I screamed. "Stop!"

But he wouldn't, he continued to plummet his fist into his face until all that was left was a bloodied body. The music had stopped and people began to create a circle around us, watching the scene unfold. He was seething but I could tell that it went farther than what had transpired between me and that man.

Axel shoved his way through the crowd and pushed Zach away from the now bloodied body. I winced, watching as he grabbed my brother by the neck and shoved him through the door. "What the fuck are you staring at? Turn the music back on." He shouted. The music immediately began playing once again and I prayed no one would call the cops.

Zach struggled to find his footing as he fought his way out of Axel's grip. "Get the hell off of me." He snarled. His hands dripped red and his face was painted with blood that definitely wasn't his.

Despite his warning, Axel stepped closer. "You need to calm down." He warned.

My brother scoffed. "You're really protecting that mother fucker? His name is Brad, by the way, I'm sure he works for you." he spat.

Brad had been thrown out of the building. He laid against the pavement, blood still dripping from his wounds as he fought to his feet. The security shooed everyone away from the scene, backing them into the streets. Axel was making sure there would be no one who'd witness against my brother had he gone to court. He was protecting him but why?

"I would say I'm making sure you don't go to prison for killing a man." Axel retorted. They were standing head-to-head despite Axel being at least an inch taller than him. I stood idly by, watching the man choke on his blood. Slowly but surely, he was dying, and it would be where no one could save him or would have the will to.

"You think you have the right to tell me who I kill?" He spat.

A low growl emitted deep within Axel's chest. "I think I'm saving your ass from a murder charge." He snarled. "I don't think your little sister would enjoy seeing you go to prison."
