Chapter nine: The Escapist

Monte laid the map out on the roof top ''Alright, we're somewhere in this neighbourhood, the esiest way out of the city by this point is by water.'' Jonathan looked at him ''Water?'' Monte looked at him and nodded, Evin looked at the map ''Timothy's still out there.'' Monte looked at him ''Do you think he'd stay in the city with these many zombies?'' Evin looked to him ''Why would he leave, if he has learned anything from me and Carson is that if it's to dangerous outside his best option is to just stay put.'' he stated motioning his hand to the map before crossing his arm's again, Carson looked back to them holding Alfie ''You guy's take the other's to find a boat, we'll look around the city from the bridges.'' Evin looked to him ''I can't cross any more of these damn bridges, my hearts still calming down after that one.'' he stated, Jonathan sighed and sat up ''What if he left?'' Jon stated thinking.

Evin looked at him ''Did you not just hear me?'' Jon looked at him ''Amber had her backpack on, no?'' he asked turning to Carson, he nodded, LJ looked over to them ''Yeah but I thought you guy's said you found his stuff?'' Jon turned looking over ''We didn't find a bag.'' he stated and turned back to Evin ''If Amber had her backpack on that means they were in the middle of traveling before Amber was bit, I'm not saying Timothy is also bit I'm basically saying he might not be this far into the city.'' Jonathan stated, Evin stared at him and looked over to Carson who nodded ''That makes sense.'' Evin looked to the map ''If we go look for a boat could we stay close to the shore?'' he asked, Monte nodded thinking about it ''Yeah, as long as we are far enough away so nothing joins us in the boat we'll be good.'' Monte stated looking to the map, Monte pointed to the spot on the map and looked to everyone to make sure they could see where he was pointing ''We head there, even if we all get split up.'' he stated looking to everyone.

Monte folded the map up again before putting it into his bag and got up before looking over the edge to the street seeing the walkers still walking around in this area confused of how they came back to the city, Jonathan got up and picked Alexander up walking over to Monte and looked over ''There could've been a road block.'' he stated and looked to Monte, he shook his head ''Carson drove down the way that they were going with no trouble, no sign of any road blocks, something turned them around.'' he stated, Jon looked over and down before turning to seeing the other's climbing down a ladder on the back of the building ''I don't like the thought of traveling around in this city on foot.'' he stated and looked to Monte, he nodded agreeing with him before turning around and walking to the back of the building as Aviana moved over and headed down, Evin was already at the bottom with LJ and Taylor.
