Chapter thirty three: The Deserving

LJ rested his head against the counter with his eye's half open, Aviana smiled ''Sleep.'' LJ moved his head and looked at her ''They could still find us, I need to be ready.'' he stated and widened his eyes, she smiled ''We've been sitting here all day, it's now what... Ten.'' she stated looking at her watch then looked to him, LJ smiled ''I don't think they'll find us, besides I'm wide awake, and hate them.'' LJ looked at her before moving over to her leaning against the wall beside her ''I'm sorry for Mia.'' Aviana looked forward and looked to Ben in his arms ''Don't be, you aren't the one who shot the arrow.'' she stated, her expression changing a bit as she thought about the cult, LJ looked at her before taking her hand in his ''The way Jon discribed that cult, I don't think running at them gun's blazing is a good idea.'' Aviana smiled and shook her head ''I don't want to go in guns blazing, I get that's dangerous but... Why didn't they kill us?'' LJ looked at her as she held his hand ''We were right there and they only...'' she stopped and looked away breathing in before looking at LJ.

''Avi, I'm sorry that's the way she died.'' Aviana looked at him ''And that's not me saying that anyone deserves to die but, people die and... She deserved better.'' Aviana looked at him before looking forward ''All I can say right now is that, it was fast, with no pain.'' Aviana smiled a bit ''That's why I'm mad, it was sudden and with no warning.'' LJ moved his arm around her pulling her close to him, Aviana leaned into him slouching down a bit, LJ looked to the other side of her seeing Vivian out cold, holding Elizabeth snug having her asleep in her arm's ''Why can't we have it easy for once?'' Aviana muttered thinking out loud, LJ smiled a bit ''Because it's an apocalypse, and people will do anything to survive.'' Aviana stayed leaning into him ''Even join a cult?'' LJ nodded ''Even join a cult.'' he repeated, LJ moved a bit leaning into the corner that was back there and Aviana ajusted her position to be comfortable and to not get in Benjamins way while he slept in LJ's arm ''You think the other's have run into the cult as well?'' she asked, LJ shrugged ''Maybe, but we're all aware of what they can do and who they are, they'll be ok.'' Aviana looked up to him ''Where would they go to meet?'' LJ thought about that ''I remember seeing a bridge on the map, they could go there, it would take us away from where the horde is.'' Aviana rested her head again thinking about it ''Tomorrow then, we head there?'' LJ nodded ''Sounds like a plan.'' he stated and looked ahead at the counter letting his eye's shut.
