Chapter sixty three: The Thoughts

Taylor got her bag on her back before turning to Aviana and Evin who were also getting ready to head out again ''So, based on how many you said you saw I'm guessing they have gotten more people since I was there.'' Aviana looked to her ''When did they catch you?'' she questioned, Taylor thought about it for a moment ''Three months into the apocalypse.'' she explained loosely and looked to them ''How many were in this group back then?'' Evin asked curiously, Taylor had to think about it again ''Ten, maybe.'' she explained and looked to him ''That's why it was easy to get out.'' Evin looked to them before getting his bag on his back and looked down the hall seeing Jonathan walking over with LJ. Jonathan stopped him and looked at him ''On the way back from getting them to you think you can stop at stores?'' Jon asked keeping it in his mind that the two were ok.'' LJ nodded and hugged him before LJ walked to the other two. Evin looked over to Jon before walking over, Aviana stepped into the elevator while Taylor picked up her sledge hammer, Evin stood infront of him ''When we get back, with Monte and Carson I'm gonna head out again, go back to where the pet store was and contiuie looking.'' Jonathan nodded already knowing this.

''He's around here Jon, I can feel it.'' Jonathan brought his hands up holding his shoulders ''Then we'll find him, Taylor said that by this time tomorrow so,'' he looked at his watch before looking to Evin ''By nine thrity tomorrow morning, I'll be good to walk around again, and potenially carry one of the twins, Connor just needs longer for his arm to fully heal before he is able to use it properly again.'' Jon explained taking his hands back setting them on his hip's, Evin looked to the elevator before looking to Jonathan ''Do you know if my old medication is on this foor?'' Evin asked looking to him, Jonathan thought about that looking at him before looking down and breathed in ''You're old medication can only be found in mental hospitals or nursing homes.'' Evin stared at him before nodding and looking to the side ''I'll look around.'' Evin looked to him and nodded slightly smiling before walking over to the elevator, Jon waved a bit before the door's shut and they headed down.

Jonathan turned and saw Alfie standing at the corner, he walked over and turned him around ''I drew this for Evin.'' Jon crouched down and took the picture smiling ''You can give it to him when they get back arlight?'' Alfie smiled and nodded going back to the room the kids were staying in, Jon went to get up and grabbed the wall with his left hand before wrapping his right arm to his left side feeling the jolt of pain again ''Getting better with that.'' he looked over seeing Vivian standing near her bedroom door ''Hey, you're up.'' he stated and walked over pushing the pain away as he went to her ''It's hard to sleep with this.'' she stated lightly holding her stomach, Jon smiled and turned her around leading her back into the room ''If you want I could probably get a bath running.'' he stated and sat her down on a comfy chair, Vivian smiled ''I hate baths.'' Jon sat down on another chair and leaned forward a bit looking to her ''It'll feel better sitting in water then taking a shower.'' Vivian looked to him smiling a bit ''I know.'' Jon smiled and got up, Vivian stared forward at the bed thinking as Jon grabbed a new towel out of the cupboards ''Am I useless?'' Jon looked over to her before setting the towel down on the counter ''No, why would you think that?'' Vivian got out of the chair and turned looking at him.

''I can't run, I can't shoot, I'm carrying something that's going to be making to much noise and it'll get all of us killed.'' Jon walked over as she kept going and sat down taking her hand ''You aren't useless.'' Vivian looked to him ''I can teach you to shoot, you can still run while pregnant it just takes more energy, and you don't know if this baby will be fussy, this child could be just as calm as Ben and Elizabeth.'' he explained and looked to her ''This child, and Alex, Alfie, Ben, and Elizabeth are the one's who will grow up in this world, they need us, so even if this child is fussy, loud, and annoying, we'll protect them because they have a better chance if they are older, stronger.'' Vivian looked at him. Jonathan moved a bit and held her hands looking to her ''You are not useless Vivian.'' Vivian stared at him ''Say it.'' Jon simply stated calmly, a tear fell down from her left eye ''I'm not useless.'' Vivian repeated softly and quietly. Jon smiled and got up helping her stand up. Jonathan walked over and grabbed the white house coat off the hook of the door and went back to her handing it over to her ''Change, I'll come get you when the bath is ready, ok?'' he stated and whipped her tear away before turning and grabbed the towel heading into the bathroom before turning the light on and setting the towel on the counter.
