Chapter Fifthteen

I see Skid's mom skipping through the grass, making a crunch sound in the grass.

She were humming some random tune that I could've possibly heard before.

"You seem... Awfully excited." Pico said.

"I am! I cannot believe I actually met Daddy Dearest's daughter!" She exclaimed.

"Anyway- How did your conversation go?" I asked.

"Oh right that- Ahahaha." She laughed.

"So...?" Pico said while tapping his foot.

"She apparently likes guys who are tall, that wear piercings, and have spiky hair." She replied.

"She didn't say anything about fashion sense or anything similar to that?" I asked.

"No... But maybe she doesn't care about that stuff." Skid's mother shrugged.

"We can't just settle with maybe..." Pico sighed.

"We'll just have to be optimistic about it! Besides we're running out of time..." I pointed at the moon in the night sky.

"Is there a reason why we're in the backyard?" Pump asked Pico.

"When we were speaking in the dining room I looked through a window and noticed smoke coming from the shed. However I don't think it's on fire or anything I suppose." Pico shrugged.

"Huh?! That sounds really serious- We should check it out immediately." I put my hand on my hip.

"Then lead the way." Pico bowed.

I scuff and start inching my way to the shed, everyone else a few inches behind me.

I stopped in my tracks.

"Why are you guy's so far from me?!" I narrowed my eyes at them.

"We thought maybe you could check out all the commotion! Besides I can't let my two boys get hurt-" She started petting Skid and Pump.

I look over to Pico.

"You did insist so- Lead the way. Like I said." Pico crossed his arms.

I scuffed again and start stomping my way to the shed area closer to where the smoke were coming from.

I peek over and see Kaleb.

"Is the smoke coming from him? Also I swore he said he were going upstairs." I asked myself.

However before I could ask myself anymore questions someone yelled something.

"Is it a bomb!" Skid yelled.

"No. It's completely safe just come here." I sighed.

"Are you sure!" Skid's mother yelled.

"Yes-" I could feel my eyes roll.

"Are you sure you're sure!" She yelled.

"It's just a person- Not a bomb not anything like that..." I said.

"Okay!" She yelled again.

They all run up to the shed and peek over as well.

"Is that man... Smoking?!" Skid's mother gasped.

"Children take this." She pulled out two gas masks.

She then started doing these random kicks and punches as if she were in a karate movie.

"Heh- What are you going to do Bruce Lee?" I laughed a little while asking.

"Teach this man a lesson." Her voice sounded more stern all of a sudden.
