-Tessa's pov-

"hey, i'm home early" i said "hey honey" my dad said "what're you doing home?" i asked "i should be asking you the same thing" he said

"just a little mad at my friends that's all" i said "well if it makes you feel better, the moving trucks should be here in 15 minutes" my dad said which got me excited

"is that why you're home?" i laughed "yep, mom was supposed to help but she has a mandatory meeting right now, so since you're home early, you can help" my dad said "sounds fun" i said

"also, i went to the store earlier today and bought some food, hungry?" he asked "yeah, what're you gonna make?" i asked "my famous pancakes" he answered causing me to smile

"you only make those in the morning, what's the occasion?" i asked which made my dad laugh "well you had a bad day and my pancakes are your favorite" he said "true, i'll be in my room, let me know when the trucks come" i said getting excited again "okay" he said.

i got to my room and checked my phone, i had 20 missed calls from eli and he sent me 15 messages asking me where i was and that he's sorry, i just put my phone down and stared at the ceiling trying to fall asleep but couldn't because miguel kept blowing up my phone as well, telling me what happened at the library after i left.

"honey?" my dad said knocking on my door "are the moving trucks here?" i asked "yeah but so is someone else, wait, there's 2 more boys" he said

i knew exactly who he was talking about "okay i'll be out in a minute" i said sighing, literally a minute later i heard another knock on my door

"i'll be out in a few dad i'm just looking for something" i lied "actually it's me eli" i heard eli's soft voice from the other side of the door

i stood up from the floor and opened the door to face eli, i let him in my empty room and shut the door

"tess, i just wanted to say sorry, i shouldn't have left miguel there by himself and i should've" eli tried to continue but i cut him off

"no eli, i'm the one who should be saying sorry, i shouldn't have snapped at you or demetri" i said looking down, eli grabbed my hands causing me to look back up.

"there's something else that has been on my mind for a while now" eli spoke up after a moment of silence "what is it?" i asked

"i think i like you, you're so nice to me, you were there for me when counselor Blatt was talking about cyber bullying and you're really pretty" eli said, i remained silent

"i'm sorry, i shouldn't have told you that i" he started but i cut him off "i think i like you too eli" i said "really?" he asked "yes really, you're so kind, funny, smart how could someone not like you" i said

this time he's the one who stayed quiet, he looked at my lips then back into my eyes then started slowly leaning in, i did the same but stopped myself

"eli" i said, he backed away "i'm sorry" he apologized "no it's not that" i said, he gave me a confused look "miguel told me what happened at the library" i said

"are you okay?" i asked "yeah, kyler and his friends always make fun of me so i'm used to it" eli answered, i just kissed him and he kissed back, it was a slow kiss but it gave me butterflies in my stomach

we stopped kissing when we heard a knock on my door "tess, your dad needs all of our help with the beds and stuff" demetri said then closing the door, i looked at eli and we both started laughing

eli stood up then helped me up since we were sitting on the ground, once i got up he wrapped his arms around my neck and i wrapped my arms around his stomach, we hugged then he gave me a quick peck on the lips before opening the door for me.

we finished setting up the beds and i was satisfied with my room, i still needed some decorations though

"hey, you guys wanna go to target?" i asked the three boys lying down on my bed "for what?" demetri asked "i need some decorations in my room" i said

"yeah sure, who's driving?" miguel asked "me obviously, i want you guys to see my car" i smiled then walked downstairs

"hey dad, me and the boys are going to target really quick" i said "okay, could you get me some candy?" he asked causing me to laugh "yeah sure, what kind?" i asked "kitkat please" he said "okay, come on let's go" i said to the boys.

we finished our target trip and started driving back to my house "you guys want food?" i asked looking in the back seat "and you guys do know one of you can sit in the front right?" i asked laughing

"i'd love some food but i'm gonna train with my sensei" miguel said "i thought you couldn't train anymore" demetri said "you're not supposed to be training?" i asked miguel

"no but just drop me off" miguel answered "what? no i'm not gonna drop you off" i said "why not?" miguel asked "because you're not supposed to be training, what if your mom finds out that i dropped you off at your dojo and hates me for all eternity?" i asked

"she's not gonna hate you cause she's not gonna know" miguel answered, we argued for a while until i finally gave in

"okay fine, i'll drop you off but if your mom hates me that's all your fault" i said "thank you" miguel said "eli? demetri? you guys hungry?" i asked "no thank you" eli said shyly "i would like some Chick-fil-A thank you very much" demetri said

"okay, i'm gonna drop of miguel first" i said "where do you need to go?" i asked miguel "the strip mall in Reseda" miguel said, i nodded and started to drive out of the parking lot.

"Cobra Kai?" i asked "yeah, badass name right?" miguel asked which made me laugh "yeah i guess" i said still laughing

"you guys should join" miguel said looking at us "eh i don't know yet" i said "well you guys should definitely think about it" miguel said smiling

"yeah yeah we will, hurry up and get out, i'm hungry" demetri said causing me and eli to laugh, miguel got out and walked inside the dojo then i drove demetri and eli to Chick-fil-A even though eli said he didn't want anything.
