-Miguel's pov-

we were outside of the building where the tournament was being held at waiting for sensei, i was waiting for tess too

"hey, where's tess? she hasn't been answering my calls or texts" hawk asked "maybe she would answer if you weren't a dick" i said "look that was a mistake, i was drunk" hawk said

"well maybe next time handle your alcohol cause i'm pretty sure you lost the best thing that has ever happened to you" i said.

sensei just showed up after a few minutes but tessa didn't "unfortunately, tessa won't be competing in the tournament this year" sensei said "but, she will be here for support" sensei finished,

i just glared at hawk, sensei gave us this slightly weird but inspirational speech then sent us to change.

-Tessa's pov-

"you already told your sensei that you're going" sam said trying to get me out of bed "i know but hawks there" i said "then we'll just ignore him" sam said "fine, but only for a little right?" i asked getting out of bed "only for a little while" sam said smiling.

"ready?" sam asked after parking her car "i guess" i said getting out, we got in the building and it was huge, we walked past this poster of daniel

"is that your dad?" i asked "yup" sam said "come on let's sit down" sam said walking towards the bleachers

"front row seats?" i laughed "we can move up by demetri if you want" sam said pointing to demetri "moons sitting by him, think we'll be fine here" i said, sam just nodded.

"welcome everyone to the 50th annual All Valley under 18 karate championship" the announcer said which made everyone cheer

"you love the new mats" the announcer added "alright, let's start by welcoming all the loco dojo's competing today" the announcer said then started welcoming all the dojo's

"fighting out Topanga, we have Topanga karate" the announcer said "yeah! whoo! Topanga! you kick some ass xander! whoo!" this random lady yelled causing everyone to look at her, me and sam just laughed

"from Reseda, returning to the tournament, we have" the announcer started but got cut off "Cobra Kai" we heard Cobra Kai chant, i just looked at sam and sighed

"now that's what i call an entrance! and a badass name for a dojo" the announcer said "let's hear it for Cobra Kai!" the announcer yelled getting the crowd to cheer

"whoo! go hawk!" i heard moon yell, sam heard it too and just rolled her eyes causing me to laugh, miguel looked over at me and sam and tapped hawk on the shoulder, me and hawk made eye contact but i broke it by looking away.

"and finally fighting unaffiliated from North Hills, we have mr. robby keene" the announcer said "i didn't know he was fighting" i said "neither did i" sam said.

aisha was fighting that kid named xander but lost so she stormed out "hey, i'll be right back" sam said walking away so now i'm here by myself watching hawk fight someone

he got kicked back, he then ran to the guy and punched him causing the crowd to cheer, the referee grabbed his arm and held it in the air meaning that hawk won

he got hyped up and took off his gi showing his tattoo, he turned back around, looked at me and winked, i just looked down.

"hawk vs keene" the announcer said, robby hopped on the mat and so did hawk "prepare to face the fury of the hawk" hawk said

"face me bow, face each other bow, fighting positions, ready? and, fight!" the referee yelled, robby kept trying to kick hawk but couldn't because hawk kept blocking it

hawk then picked up robby from his side and flew him on the ground causing him to get a point, they've been fighting for a while but hawk just got disqualified because he kicked robby's shoulder when robby wasn't paying attention

"that's enough! illegal contact! you're disqualified!" the ref yelled "bullshit" hawk yelled back pushing the referee "what the hell are you thinking man?" johnny yelled "what was i supposed to do, be a pussy?" hawk said walking back to his spot, i just rolled my eyes and walked out but i guess hawk noticed.

"hey, tess" hawk said, i turned around to face him "why haven't you been answering my calls?" he asked "i don't know eli, maybe because you were kissing someone else" i said "it was a mistake, it won't happen again, i promise" hawk said "yeah, i'm sure it won't" i said walking away.

~1 hour later~
-Hawk's pov-

"this is how you celebrate? sulking about tess?" aisha asked "she blocked me" i said looking at my phone "i haven't known tess that long but i know she'll come around, you just have to wait" aisha said

"wait for what? for her to find someone else?" i asked "were you guys even dating?" demetri asked "no but we kissed and i like her more than a friend" i said

"look, i'm mad at you for doing that to tess but i want you guys to work things out" miguel said "how?" i asked "go to her house" miguel said

"i remember he told you that and you saw sam with another guy" demetri said "you think she's gonna be with another guy?" i asked "no so just go to her house and work things out" miguel said, i nodded and headed to tessa's house.

i finally got to tessa's house and climbed in through her window, once i fully got in her room i noticed she wasn't in there at all, i was about to walk out when her door opened

"eli? what are you doing here?" she asked walking in her room then closing the door "to make things right with you" i said "i know i said this already but i'm sorry, i didn't wanna hurt you at all, i was drunk and if i could take it all back, i would" i continued

"and i know you don't believe me but if i didn't care about us i wouldn't have walked here" i finished "you walked here?" she asked "yes" i answered "why?" she asked "because i miss you and i wanna make things right" i said "why didn't you drive here?" she asked "i caught a ride with aisha to the celebration dinner" i said

she just stayed quiet and so did i, i slowly walked closer to her and grabbed her hands, she looked at our hands then looked back up at me, we stared into each other's eyes then we both started leaning in, the kiss got heated pretty quickly so we went to her bed and things just happened from there.
