This is an upcoming fanfic I will be posting here, and I'm super excited! Once I start posting, chapters will come daily.

Cover art coming soon!

Update- 1/19/21: I finished Chapter 4 today! Haven't started Chapter 5, but maybe I will...? Either tonight or tomorrow!

I'm already at 32 pages (each chapter averages at about 7 pages), which is about half of my previous fanfictions... but the story is still at the beginning. There is SO much more to unpack. I can't wait to write it, get it reviewed and revised, then post it!

I also contacted my "cover artist"-- the artwork I requested is complicated (oopsy XD), but I hope it will be worth it! I don't want to say more than that, just in case something changes...but in the meantime, you can guess which characters you think will on there (I'll give you a hint: there's two).

Update 1/20/21- I wrote a nice chunk of Chapter 5 today. It was a bit of a struggle-- I'm still figuring out the character-- but it's a really important chapter because it's setting up some really important things.

Also, I watched a "Dear Authors" video today by Merphy Napier (you should subscribe to her YouTube channel-- it's awesome) about death scenes, and I think I have a better idea of how a certain character will die in this story (yes, this is the story that people voted on for a character to die), so that's a plus! I can't wait to make it even more heartbreaking than I was imagining it at first! Yay!

I may write more later today, but I doubt it. Oh, and I saw part of the cover art today (Spoiler Alert: It's a-may-zang)! 🤗🤗🤗 It's going to be epic.

Update 1/21/21- I lied-- I finished Chapter Five yesterday. Yay!

As for Chapter Six, I JUST finished it! Double yay, especially since I was struggling with this one. Chapter Six is primarily character-based. It introduces conflict, yes, but character-focused conflict. Nothing "major" (plot-wise) happens, so I was kind of questioning how I was going to end it, and how good/bad it was, but I finished it just now, and I'm really proud of it! I'm also really happy to type "Chapter Seven" down. Typing a new chapter is always satisfying :).

I already wrote the 1st sentence for Chapter Seven. I may or may not write more. In any case, I wrote down my goals for next week, and one was "Start Chapter 7 of Rebuild." Welp, I already did, so I guess I'm ahead of the game! For now, at least😂. (Wait until I get in a writing slump...😬.)

Right now I'm averaging about 1 chapter every 2 days. I predict around 100 chapters (give or take 20), so...well, I can't do math, but yeah, those are the numbers!

I also didn't have any schoolwork today, so that's probably why I wrote so much.

Anywayssss, until the next update!

Update 1/23/21- So I forgot to update yesterday-- oops! Well, anyway, I finished Chapter 7 yesterday. It was...hard. The particular character's POV I told it from was really hard to get in the head of. It's probably been my hardest chapter yet.

It's also my shortest, which apparently to my brain equals bad. (Only in writing, though-- when I read short chapters, it's great.) So I was a little down about it yesterday. Today I feel a bit better about it, but I'll just have to see what my critique partner says when I show it to her.

As for today, I'm working on Chapter 8. I started it yesterday, but I hope to finish it today, and-- maybe-- start on Chapter 9. I'll update later today if that happens!

Later- I finished Chapter 8, but I was really disappointed in the way it turned out. So...I will probably rewrite it. Starting tomorrow or Monday!

Update 1/25/21- I finished rewriting Chapter 8 tonight. It only took the whole day plus an hour last night...🤷🏼‍♀️.
