"Aurora,  mahal na mahal kita. Tandaan mo 'yan lagi."

Napasinghap ako nang biglang may pumasok na kataga at pangyayari sa utak ko.

Is this another part of my memories?

Napailing ako sa naisip ko.

"What's the point of seeing tinge of my memories if I can't understand them?" I whispered in the wind as I stare on the vast and wide blue ocean waters. Tahimik ito na tila kapag hinulugan mo ng bato ay doon lamang magigising. Sumasayaw ang tubig sa malamyos na galaw ng hangin.

Napapikit ako habang dinadama ang medyo malamig na hangin sa aking balat. I'm wearing a sleeveless white sando and a sky blue printed pajama ready to tuck in my bed. Tho I need to get some fresh air. I just received a seem to be bad news for me.

I'm going back to Manila.

I sighed again for the nth time. I will miss this place. It's not everyday I get to the beach and enjoy fun times while my doing my job. Waves of memories came crashing to me, from the moment I stepped in the soil of Aurora.

"What are you doing here?"

I was startled by the deep voice at my back.

"Matiaz..." I said almost like a breath. Nagulat ako sa totoo lang nang kausapin niya ako. I mean simula nang dumating yung memo sa akin about my departure, he got suddenly distant, like really distant.

"Shouldn't you be packing right now? You're departing at 3 am, right?"

"Y-yeah, I ahm, already, I mean my baggage were always on pack, except the gadgets."

"You don't use the closet?"

"I do, I did. Nung lumipat kasi tayo sa resthouse niyo, I packed all my things kasi akala ko doon na tayo until I ahm get back sa city. So ayon..."

Awkward silence filled the air and I was busy fidgeting with my fingers to at least ease my mind. I never knew these situations will shut me up. For a moment I don't know what to say! Come on mind, where's your wittiness when I need you? Speak up will you?

Few moments have passed and the awkward silence continued, but as time goes by, the awkwardness turned into solemn silence as we both took in the beautiful scenery of the ocean in front of us. My heart is beating too dang fast, but it's not making me suffocate, it's a good feeling actually, like warmth surged into my whole body from the heart throughout all my veins.

Nakaramdam ako ng antok kaya naman naglakas loob na akong tumikhim at nagsalita.

"Hey, ahm, I just wanna say thank you, sa pag-assist sa akin dito sa Aurora, you've been really of great help to me." I said without looking. "Dahil sa'yo nalibot ko ang buong Aurora, maybe not all but almost every place I've visited, couldn't have done it without you." I smiled after while my eyes are still fixated on the dark ocean waters.

He remained silent, no replies. Grabe, ano bang problema niya sa'kin? Kanina pa 'to ah. I turned to him and was about to scold him when I saw him looking at me.

"You should say it while looking at me." He said and I can see his lips curved up a little bit. He's trying to suppress a smirk! This guy.

"N-nasabi ko na kaya!" I said but he remained with his expectant look.

I exhaled a good amount of air, trying to make myself calm. Relax Aurie, relax.

"I said I wanna say thank you--"

"D'you really mean it?"

My forehead creased with his interruption.

"What?"
