Sleeping Skeletons

A coffin opens

and lets me in.

Closes its door

and unlocks my sin.

When this life ends

another begins.

Opens my eyes

and lets me begin.

My throat burns

from the lack of words.

Let me speak

and hear my plea.

Bring me back

to the living.

Let me stay

and next time I will come willing.

Left behind

by myself.

Everyone is gone

and now I only have doubt.

Wishing I had

stayed dead.

Loneliness can never be cured

never again.
