Cease Blackening

Let me tell you a story

about a boy who stood out.

He blamed the world for all

of his doubts.

His family for his genes

that must be de-faulty.

His teachers for expectations

that were swallowed, rather salty.

His friends for his constant

shut in loneliness.

His dream lover for a

not so great confess.

Himself for he was obviously lacking

in a world that just wouldn't cease blackening.
