Part 6: Let's talk

                                      Your POV

Soon enough Newt comes into the hut, he immediately comes up to me and pulls me into a hug,

"I'm glad you're okay."

"Yeah, thanks to you guys." I smile,

We sit down, newt joins me and Thomas,

"Did Ben say anything to you?" Newt asks me,

"Yeah, actually he did, he said 'you did this, I saw you'."

"What could that even mean?" Thomas asks,

"I don't know, I didn't do anything."

"Maybe it was just a side effect from the sting?" Thomas suggests,

"Gally doesn't think so." Newt says,

"What do you mean?" I ask confused,

"He thinks you had something to do with this, Thomas too." Newt says quietly,

Me and Thomas give eachother a confused glance,

I look back at newt,

"nothing to worry about right now." He assures.

Someone comes in,

It's chuck, "y/n!"

We all turn to look at him,

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I heard what happened."

I get up and put a hand on his upper back,

"I'm fine, thanks for your concern though." I smile,

"Hi Thomas!" Chuck greets happily,

Thomas gives a short wave,

"Hey chuck, think you could help Thomas with his hammock?" Newt asks,

"Good idea, I'll come too." I speak,

"Okay." Chuck replies,

I wave Thomas over to follow us.

When we reach the sleeping area chuck ties up Thomas's hammock,

"It's basically the same story for all of us, we wake in in the box, Alby gives us a tour, then here we are." Chuck speaks,

Thomas starts walking away, toward the maze doors, I follow him, Chuck is still working on tying the knots,

After only a minute chuck comes up behind us,

"Dude, where are you going?" He questions thomas,

"I just wanna see." Thomas replies,

"Don't worry chuck, we aren't as stupid as you think." I speak,

"You two can look around all you want but you better not go out there." Chuck reminds us,

"Why not, what's through there?" Thomas asks,

"I don't know." Chuck says,

"Grievers." I state,

Thomas turns to me,

"What?" He asks confused,

"Y/n, you weren't supposed to say anything." Chuck warns,

"What is he talking about?" Thomas asks another question,

When I don't answer, Thomas takes a few steps closer to the opening, picking up his pace,

I follow close behind,

"You guys can't go in there, you're not runners." Chuck protests,

"Chuck, we aren't gonna do anything stupid, just calm down little man." I joke,

"Anyway, newt didn't tell you about the grievers? The things that stung Ben?" I ask,

"No?"

"Well nobody has ever seen one, and lived to tell, ben was the first I suppose, just went too crazy to say."

He looks at me with wide-eyes, almost scared.

"What's going to happen to him?" Thomas asks,

"I'll tell you just come back with me."

Thomas follows me to a nearby tree, we sit together under the shade,

"So you got questions, shoot em, I'll answer, now is your chance to get as many questions as you can in."

"Okay, what's gonna happen to Ben?"

"Unfortunately, he'll likely be banished, sent into the maze, today or tomorrow, that's depending if Minho and alby come back or not."

"What do you mean?"

"If alby and Minho come back safe today, he'd be banished before the doors close, but if not, we'd wait until tomorrow, to see if they come back, all the while, Ben stays in the pit."

"They'll be back though, right?"

"I hope so, I give it a few more hours, because if I see those doors close without them in the glade, I'm just about ready to run in there myself."

"Is alby a runner?"

"No."

"Why is he in there then?"

"That I wouldn't know, unfortunately."

"Why aren't you a runner?"

"Well, the problem in that department is, a very overprotective friend named Newt."

"He'd say no to you too, I'm sure of it, he's like a mother, I call him mama newt, but don't actually call him that, he doesn't like it, Minho teases him too much about it."

"But anyway, I think that's enough questions, I'm going to find newt."

"Okay, see ya."
