"You're too slow!" he yells at me as I wipe the sweat beads off my forehead. "If you think you're going to last fighting like you do then you're in for a rude awakening!"

I finally kick out his legs from underneath him with a stream of water and he lands on his behind, "Well if I'm so slow then that must make you molasses!" I yell at Adonis and smirk at the fact he's on the ground.

He unexpectedly pulls my leg out from under me resulting in me landing on my ass and bumping my head, "Well you need to be quicker than me Athanasia," he tells me now hovering over my body with a knife to my throat. "I look intimidating, no one would dare attack me but you? You're so innocent, so beautiful, you'd be dead in a second," he tells me in a calm voice tracing the knife down the side of my face and then my body. I meet his eyes as his hot breath hits my face and it makes me forget what I want, why I'm even here.

He gets up immediately and turns away from me, "Be better than me Athanasia," Adonis says to me before walking in the house.

I get up quickly and brush off my clothes. Ever since that night two weeks ago Adonis has been different to me. He started waking me up at the crack of dawn since that day to train. I've trained my whole life but with Adonis it's so much harder.

He's quicker and stronger then anyone I've ever met. His human strength alone could beat me in a fight any day and I find myself trying to keep up. His mind games send me in loops as well, he's calling me beautiful one minute and reminding me how much he hates me the next. The one things he's consistent about however is that he refuses to use his gifts around me ever even though I've said it's fine.

He's never said it but I think something deep down inside his cold shriveled heart he might actually feel bad for hurting me the first time we had ever met. When he grabbed me and left a permanent mark, which for the record is still there, he hadn't realized we were each other's converse soul but now he does.

I guess something in him will always make him hate me but at least now we are civil and train together.

I've been getting along with everyone much better. It's almost like a little family, I know this won't last forever and very soon things will change but for now I can enjoy it.

"Athanasia get your ass in here! We're hungry!" I hear Rea yell through the open window. I laugh to myself before walking through the front door.

I see Thomas chasing Aris when I walk through the door for a paper that I would love to know what it says, "You're such a brat Aris! Give it back!" Thomas yells at him and looks genuinely pissed off.

"What is it a letter from your secret lover?" He asks with interest in his voice. He opens the letter as he's dodging Thomas, "To my lover with the weird run," Aris mocks.

"It doesn't say that you asshole!" Thomas looks like he's about to pounce on Aris before Dimitrios snaps his fingers and the letter is in his hand.

He hands in to Thomas and Thomas quickly snatched it before putting it in his pocket and muttering something under his breath about Aris.

I sit down next to Rea, "Who's the letter from?" I whisper to her.

"I don't know, maybe some secret lover," she raises her eyebrows quickly before we both laugh to ourselves.

Ben made lamb for dinner tonight with some kind of vegetable salad. It was quite delicious but fighting for helpings was not to be taken lightly.

Last week Aris literally threatening all of us for the last bread roll and I know he would do it again.

"So I was thinking if the last three demigods are still alive, where would they go?" Dimitrios starts. I've learned that Dimitrios is always very serious. He rarely thinks about anything other than our task which I still don't know.

Sea just told me he wanted me to save his family and it seems like I have more information than anyone else, which says a lot considering I have nothing. I guess right now the goal is to find everyone and see where to go from there.

"Not here," Thomas says immediately. "Word travels fast and people know that King Grigoris has kept the two demigods captive for too long and now they're dead."

"Exactly, so where would they go?" Dimitrios asks us even though he already knows the answer.

"Well spit it out, this isn't a damn guessing game," Adonis interrupts clearly tired of Dimitrios's antics. He rolls his eyes before shoving his fork in a piece of pork and stuffing it in his mouth.

"To Cerebellium," he answers and everyone at the table looks just as confused as I am. I can barely keep track of all these new places.

"Where is that at?" I ask as if I will know if he references another kingdom.

"It's about a three day journey from here," Rea answers. "Why would they be there? There's nothing left of Cerebellium after the war."

"Because," Thomas says aloud with his hand on his chin. "There's nothing left. It's the only place where people with threatening powers can live freely because to the rest of the world, it doesn't exist."

"Exactly!" Dimitrios lights up. He pulls a map from below the table and rolls it out of the flat surface. "The world has been taken over by those trying to control the dangerously gifted so they're going to go where they're safe. I'm sure if we visited we would find them there."

After the food is gone everyone talks back and forth whether it's a good idea. Everyone seems on board but surprisingly Adonis and I.

"Doesn't it seem strange that it's just an island of gifted individuals who were deemed dangerous with no threats? It seems awfully convenient that no one, not even King Grigoris knows it exists," I talk over the rest of the chatter but direct my words to Dimitrios. "Besides, where did you even hear about this place? Where did this thought come from?"

"Doesn't matter," he quickly answers. "All that matters is that they are there and we need to get them. Who's in? We can leave tomorrow!"

Everyone jumps at the bit to join the stupid mission but Adonis and I, "I don't approve of this and even if I did I must go back to my kingdom... some stuff came up."

Their eyes shift to me and I rock back and forth in my seat, "I think this is a really stupid idea but I will go anyways. Just know I don't approve of the plan."

"Sweet! Pack up everyone, we are leaving bright and early tomorrow," Dimitrios rushes out of the room and everyone gets up immediately rushing to pack and then get some sleep.

I make my way back to Rea's room. My small bag of items is on the floor ready to go. I don't have any packing to do because I'm always ready to leave at a pin-drop.

Rea however did not have the same case. Her large wardrobe made for long packing. I lay on the bed looking out the window as I hear bustling behind me.

"Purple or green outfit?" She asks me.

"Green," I say not even looking at the two outfit choices. She always seems to make up her own mind anyways.

"I think I'm going with purple it's just so much cuter," I hear her toss the other outfit and start going through a drawer.

I eventually drift off to sleep not caring to think about what tomorrow has in store for us.
