As I understand we are all demigods. A piece of each of our god lives inside of us. We were created impulsively when word reached the gods of the plans of the old generation.

The gods don't make new generations, nature makes them. That's why we were forced to be created as demigods. We are their sons and daughters born to mortal parents.

Questions were being thrown around and I could sense the tension in the air. Not everyone was happy and it was clear, "I don't see how this is fair for any of us! We lost our actual parents who fought to protect us from this damn curse bestowed on us by all of you! You left us no guidance in our world and now you expect us to risk our lives to fight for a battle over something not involving us?" Adonis shouted directing his anger at Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades.

I hate this, I hate everything about what they want us to do but I can't see myself getting up the courage to yell at them. To be honest though I don't think it was courage from Adonis, I think it was just rage judging off the fact I can see the black creeping in and out of his gray eyes.

Thomas and the other three unnamed demigods were more than happy to fight for them. Dimitrios, Adonis, Ben, Rea and Aris were not however. I haven't made my stake yet because quite frankly I'm scared. I don't want to fight for the Gods but at the same time I owe Poseidon a lot and if innocent people died I would blame myself. As I learned, Poseidon seems to have been the only god to visit their creation in our world.

He has been with me ever since I can remember. I always had Sea at my side. He taught me how to fight with water. Aunt Melara could never have done that, yet he sat with me for all that time teaching me everything he could in those 10 years.

"You don't know what you're talking about boy!" Zeus shouted back at Adonis but he wasn't backing down. Hades just sat with the same smug expression that hasn't left his face since we got here. My guess is he is just happy to see someone else fight with his brothers instead of him. "We gave you all power for you to thrive in your world! In your world you are more powerful than you could want! We can take it away just as easy as we gave it to you!"

Adonis chuckled and faced Zeus, "See that's the funny part, you can't. I mean you could but Hades wouldn't give up another piece of himself. Neither would Poseidon. Hades wasn't even willing give up the piece of himself in me, you took it." I look over at Zeus and the slightest flash of worry crosses his face for a mid second but quickly vanishes. A sinister smile crosses Adonis's face, "And as I've come to realize we aren't actually here. This is a dream so you could tell us what we were actually created to do since Dimitrios and the rest of them are still stuck in Cerebellium. You would have to come down to our world to kill us and by the time that happens you will be able to kill the old generation yourself, am I wrong about any of that?"

Adonis steps closer to Zeus and I want to scream and tell him to stop, "You defied your brothers to make this oh-so-powerful group of kids so tell me, was it worth it?"

Right in front of my eyes Zeus picks up this man by the neck who is at least 6'3" and holds him out in front of him. I don't even know how tall Zeus is. Adonis is holding himself up by Zeus's wrists but his smile still hasn't left his face.

The room is painfully silent as this happens until Zeus throws Adonis down. He coughs before getting up as his face holds this expression that says 'I'm right and you and I both know that' without saying it.

"I want all the demigods out except Dimitrios and Adonis!" Zeus shouts. They all go to leave and I am right there behind them. "And you too of course sweetheart," he directs at me.

I reluctantly turn around having no desire to be here. Now here I stand with the 12 olympians as a mere human.

"Why was everyone asked to leave?" Dimitrios speaks up. "They do deserve to hear what they are getting themselves into."

"And they will," Athena speaks up in a heavenly voice. She wears this war helmet which seems a little out of place but regardless has beautiful hair with these eyes containing so many colors. Being around all these beautiful gods make me self conscious to say the least. "But if you three can't come to one decision then no one else is going to follow you."

"Believe it or not when we chose you three we saw who'd you become. From you were just a mere thought in your parents head, we chose you because after all this we are entrusting you all to carry on our legacies in your world," Hera speaks up. She walks up elegantly to the elevated surface we have all been standing on. I can just tell it's her by the way looks and how closely she watches what Zeus does.

"We get this is unfair and for that I am truly sorry," Poseidon talks for the first time in a while. "We are all asking you now to fight because it is the right thing to do, because if not for us, for your people and for each other."

I look at Dimitrios and Adonis. Thinking back to where it all started it was me arguing with Dimitrios and then Adonis on what we believe and I will happily be right back there if it means doing the right thing.

"I'm in," I say escaping my thoughts. "Not for you all because quite frankly immortality seems like a curse more than anything else but for those who can not fight on our world and those who are not the same as you and I. I owe Poseidon a lot and that's why I will fight when asked but as for the rest of them, I understand completely where they're coming from. You can't leave children on their own with these overwhelming powers to make them into war machines later. That was clearly the plan and it disgusts me, you can't expect them to do something life threatening for you if you didn't do the basics for them."

The room is silent once again and all eyes are on me. If I could crawl up in a ball I would gladly do it.

Are you sure about this? Adonis asks me through the mindlink.

As sure as I've ever been. Not for then but for your people, I look at him and nod my head.

"Because of my people and that I owe them, I will. Not for any of you but for the men, women, children, and magical creatures that rely on me to protect them," Adonis looks at me with a little smile and shoot him one back.

"Well I guess that leaves me," Dimitrios speaks up. The gods watch him anxiously and I must say I'm eager to know his choice but Adonis looks like he already knows. All of them watch Dimitrios but Hades.

He glares bullets through me before his eyes shift back to Adonis. A small grin that never leaves his face is now instilled into my head, especially after watching his eyes repeatedly switch from Adonis to me.

"Because I'd be selfish not to defend the defenseless with my god-given power, I'm in."
