Chapter 2: Sup old man!

2nd P.O.V. (you/your)

It was daytime and Tanjiro came back with a basket for Nezuko. You laughed at how Nezuko got into the basket. Once you were back to heading to Urokodaki's house from the little cave, you zoned out and thought about the plot of the story. Sure you missed everyone back home, but they probably think you're dead. Then again, you LEGIT got ISEKAIED into DEMON SLAYER! You were snapped out of your thoughts when Tanjiro exclaimed "I smell blood!". "Aww shit." you thought. "I hate this scene." you mumbled, good thing he ain't Zenitsu cuz he would have heard. 

You headed to the house, oh wait, cabin? I dunno, let's call it a house. You went to the house and saw the demon. The demon started it's dialogue, and when he was finished, he pounced on you instead of Tanjiro which surprised you. "THE FUQ DUDE?! YOU AIN'T MEANT TO POUNCE ON ME!" you screeched. Tanjiro immediately ran towards the demon and chucked it of you. The scene continues to unfold as you helped here and there, enough to make sure you don't destroy the plot, until Tanjiro, you, and Nezuko were staring at the unconscious head of the demon stuck in the tree with Tanjiro's axe keeping it in place. Tanjiro was going to use a knife to finish the demon off, he started shaking vigorously and sweating rivers. You remembered Urokodaki was supposed to make an entrance about now, and as he was about to go over to touch you, you turned around to face him. He was shocked but of course you didn't know that. 

Tanjiro and Urokodaki had small talk about finishing off the demon, and when Tanjiro picked up the rock, he was still trembling and sweating like crazy. When the sun came up, the demon screeched and you covered your ears and said "Shut the fuq up bish!" and he was gone. Urokodaki asked if you were the ones Giyuu sent, you said you were and introduced yourselves to him. Urokodaki also introduced himself. When Urokodaki sensed that you weren't from here, he asked if you were here to visit the country, since you were lucky you were cosplaying Tamayo, everyone you met thought you were from here, but your aura was slightly more different. "Yes actually, I came here for vacation, but when my parents died from demons, I roam alone for now." you said with a sorrowful and sad looking smile. You were good at lying, so Tanjiro or Urokodaki didn't sense anything. 

Urokodaki was confronting Tanjiro and slapped him when he hesitated to answer. You feeling bad for the cinnamon roll, went up to him and asked him if he was ok and rubbed the spot Urokodaki slapped him on. For Tanjiro though, he was flushed red and blushing like crazy once you came in contact with him. You noticed this and pretended to act like you didn't know what happened. "Are you sick Tanji?" you made a cute confused face and Tanjiro turned even redder because you were too cute and also because of the nickname you gave him. Urokodaki continued and said you needed to follow him. You were quite fine with it since you were good at running, only because you imitated Zenitsu's breath forms to get candy when your mom wasn't looking back in your world. Tanjiro on the other hand, did horrible in the anime and in the manga. Once you reached the Urokodaki's house with Tanjiro, you were less tired than Tanjiro but still panting. Tanjiro thought this was the test and asked if he passed. Urokodaki said the test was just starting and that we needed to climb a mountain, as he layed Nezuko down so she could sleep. Tanjiro paled and looked like he saw a ghost, while you fell on the floor, since you had the urge to sleep. Tanjiro immediately turned to you and asked if you were ok. You just sat up and said "yeah" and followed them up the mountain. As you went higher and higher, your breathing started to struggle, so you attempted to do total concentration breathing. Your lungs can hold a lot of air since you go swimming and do yoga. You got the hang of it and started feeling better. Urokodaki noticed but decided not to question you.

You and Tanjiro reached the top of the mountain. Urokodaki then told you guys to make your way down the mountain before dawn, and disappeared into the mist. "No shit old man, I wanna be a magic dude too ya know" you thought. Tanjiro then thought the point was to make sure he could navigate through the thick fog, but boy was he in for a surprise. This was easy for you though, you read the manga and watched the anime so many times, it's drilled into your head. To lower Tanjiro's injuries and mental wounds later on, you decided to tell him. "Tanji, there are traps in this mountain you know, I say we should stick together. I know we can make it if we work as a team!" you said in a singsong voice. Tanjiro blushed and said a quick "ok" and both of you went down the mountain. You both got back in one piece and only had a few scratches since Tanjiro ran into a few of them when he went ahead of you. When you both opened the door, you were both panting. Urokodaki looked at you two and Tanjiro said in a hoarse whisper "We... have... returned..." and both of collapsed to the ground immediately after. Urokodaki then had a flashback of Giyuu's letter. It said:

Forgive my abruptness, Mr. Sakonji Urokodaki.

I'm sending a boy and girl your way who wants to become demon slayers. The boy was bold enough to attack me unarmed. His family was slaughtered by a demon, and the surviving younger sister has become one, but I have determined that she will not attack humans. The girl seems to have come from another place, though she has potential seeping through her aura. She seems to know how to use total concentration breathing, based on how her body is well kept. I sense something different about her. Like yourself, the boy seems to have a keen sense of smell. The girl seems to be quick and agile. Perhaps they'll find a way to break through and become your heir apparent. I'm asking you to train them. I realize this is a self-serving request, but please forgive me. I hope you take good care of yourself in your endeavors.

Urokodaki just stood there looking at both of your tired states. He then said "I accept you as my students, (L/N) (Y/N), Kamado Tanjiro."
