Chapter 27: Meet up

Nobody's P.O.V.

"Like I'm saying! There's a demon at my place!" Inosuke said. "This is what it was like! I'm sure!" He did a weird pose. "Well... Yeah, well uhh... Just hold up a bit." Tanjiro stuttered. "I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!" (Y/N) said. "See! She understands it!" Inosuke said. "You do?" Tanjiro asked with wide eyes. "Yeah! It was like this, or this!" (Y/N) also did weird poses.

Tanjiro's P.O.V.

I was utterly confused. They kept doing un-understandable poses, "I think Uzui-san and Zenitsu will come here for our regular meet-up..." I said. "Zenitsu's not coming." I heard Uzui-san's voice. I was surprised, "What do you mean Zenitsu's not coming?" I asked.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"Shoot, Zenitsu's been captured!" I thought. " I think I've put you guys in terrible danger. The desire to save my wives has caused me to commit a grave mental error. Zenitsu's whereabouts are currently unknown. He stopped contacting me last night. The 2 of you get out of here now. Your ranks are way too low. If the demon here is an upper moon, you guys can't teal with them. I will regard people who have stopped sending me letters as dead. From here, me and (Y/N) will move on on our own." Tengen said. "No! Uzui-san! We-" Tengen cut Tanjiro off, "Don't be ashamed. Winners stay alive. Don't mess this opportunity up."  Tengen then left without a trace.

"Maybe he didn't believe us because we're members of the lowest class..." Tanjiro said in a sad expression. "No Tanji, that's not it. Tengen just doesn't want to get you guys in danger because of him. I still believe in you!" I said. Inosuke nodded and then started explaining, "We're currently at the Kanoe rank right now. We're higher up now. We're the fourth lowest on the chain." Inosuke started "Huh?" Tanjiro was confused.  Me and Inosuke then put our hands in front of us and said, "Show us our ranks!" then balled our hands into a fist which mine printed '柱' which read 'hashira' on the back of my hand, while Inosuke's printed '庚' which read 'kanoe' or '7th'.

Tanjiro looked surprised. "Wasn't your hand all itchy in the wisteria mountains?" Inosuke asked. Tanjiro then got into some funny depressed state when he admitted that he didn't know. When Tanjiro regained his composure and said he would finish the investigation in the Tokito house before going with Inosuke to investigate, Inosuke beat him up in a comedic way to where I laughed so hard that the dude who lived in the house screeched "SHUT UP!" and I shut up. We talked some more, and me and Tanjiro then went to get our swords and our uniforms.
