maria di angelo didn't know much.
she knew her younger siblings were bianca and nico di angelo, she knew she loved them and would do anything to protect them, she knew she was dyslexic and had adhd, but anything about her past, about herself? she had no idea.
maria never really thought about the past.
i mean, why would she? the past didn't affect what she was going through now. she'd rather focus on the present and the future. besides, maria always felt that she shouldn't focus on the past.
to her the past was like a pandora's box. if she opened the box everything that'll ever trouble her will spill out of that box. deep inside there was a little part of maria who wanted to throw the lid off, that little part wanted to find out who she was, why was she at that hotel? who was the lawyer who picked her and her siblings up? why can't she remember anything before that?
but of course, her pandora's box had to stay closed. if it was opened, it might affect it siblings. whether it was positive or negative, maria didn't want to take the chance.
when she finds out she's a demigod, she finally opens the box. everything began spilling out, all the questions she never asked, the things she's never focused about, all the people who might change her life for the worse but also, a person who'll change her life for the better.
