S U M M A R Y Kimberly didn't exactly fit into Dawson Leery's perfect movie fantasy. Don't get her wrong, she is smart, beautiful, kind, and in all senses; perfect. Her origin story however, is not ideal. Kimberly was left to the Leery family by her mother when she was a baby. Despite, the differences in skin tone, Kimberly was legally and emotionally a Leery.
Despite being the adoptive child, Kimberly and Dawson's bond was stronger than most siblings. Kimberly never felt out of place with the Leery's and they were by definition her family.
As the Leery's face high school and the changes that come with it, their perfect lives crumble at their feet.
