There was a knock on the door and when Elise opened it, she was greeted by a couple of townspeople.

"Oh! Lady Elise! Good morning!" A woman in her mid-40's smiled to the young lady before bowing her head. "We are sorry to intrude you so early in the morning."

"Oh, it is not a problem, Mrs. Davies." She smiled kindly, not minding it at all. "Good morning as well."

The woman's eyes widened in surprise. "Y-You remember my name, milady?"

"Of course. I frequently go to the marketplace, don't I? It's only natural of me to remember your names." She replied before turning her attention to the other townspeople. "Seeing as you all came here, is there something the matter?"

The man, who goes by the name of Eric, spoke in their behalf. "Oh, nothing is wrong, Lady Moriarty. The townspeople and I decided to give our thanks to the Moriarty household for the help they have given us. For the land reformation and the freedom we have right now, we'd like to thank you by giving some of our best crops to you."

There were at least five baskets with assorted vegetables laid out in front of Elise. Indeed, they are of the best qualities. The timing was perfect as well, since Louis was planning to go to the marketplace later when they were running low on some vegetables.

Elise smiled graciously to the townspeople. "Thank you very much, everyone. I appreciate the kindness and trouble you have to give these to us. If ever you have any problems, you can talk to either four of us. We will lend our ears and hands to those who are in need."

"I see... that explains the baskets of vegetables on the front door." Louis said as soon as Elise explained it to him.

"Yes. I'm sorry for making you carry them by yourself, Louis-nii-sama." The youngest really felt bad that the scarred blonde had to carry the baskets all the way to the kitchen. She carried it at first but he stepped in after he saw her struggling carrying one basket.

Louis noted that it was quite an adorable sight.

"Nonsense. I know that heavy labor such as this is difficult for you. Please don't feel bad, Elise." He gave her head a pat to ease her guilt.

She looked up and her face was filled with another determination. "I will create the best breakfast to compensate. As well as lunch, tea time and dinner."

Louis smiled after seeing her determined face. "I will be looking forward to it."

Elise mentally listed that as one of her goals to complete. Her eyes then travelled to the study room on the second floor.

"Is William-nii-sama still in the study?" She asked in a worried tone. "He did stay up all night again, didn't he..."

"Yes." He looked at the study room as well. "Nii-san is always plotting something, after all."

"I will go call him once I finish preparing breakfast. He still has to leave for university. He cannot be late... though I know nii-sama is never late..."

"Then, I will finish carrying the baskets and set the table afterwards."

"Please do, onii-sama."

As soon as she was done cooking, Louise told her that he'll handle the rest so she should go upstairs and call the older blonde.

"William-nii-sama?" Elise gently knocked on the door. William turned around to face her as he looked up from the newspaper he has on hand.

"Yes? What is it, Elise?"

"It's time for breakfast, nii-sama. You still have to prepare and go to the university." She said as she stepped closer to him. Her hand went up to his face as her thumb gently stroked the cheek below his eye.
