A/N: Sorry for making you guys wait (≧﹏ ≦). Lots of stuff came up and I had to delay this fanfic in a bit. I don't want to rush things and I want to write each chapter something I can be satisfied. And of course, for you readers to enjoy this.

As you can see, I'm trying to insert my fanarts so I hope you guys don't mind.

Btw, this is the hunt of the Baskerville arc, another one of the arcs the anime didn't cover. I enjoyed writing this arc, to be honest.

Despite the things that are going on in this arc, I actually find this arc one of my favorites and this was probably the trigger for me to write this fanfic.

Anyway, I've ranted enough.

Happy reading!!

"A telegram for you, Lady Moriarty. From Lord Rufus Furos Lucoria."

A courier handed her a bouquet of calla lily with a telegram attached to it. After thanking the courier, she entered the house and sighed.

"It's been two weeks since we met in Noahtic and Lord Rufus never fail to send me gifts every single day..."

Yes, ever since they met, the nobleman never stopped giving her gifts with the occasional telegram attached. And mostly, his gifts were calla lilies in a single or small bouquet.

Despite that pollens are one of the main causes of her attacks, that didn't stop Elise from loving and tending flowers. To the point she had memorized the language of flowers.

"Calla lily... meaning purity and magnificent beauty... and also-"

"Elise-sama?"

Her thoughts were cut-off when Fred called out to her. Blinking, she looked up and smiled apologetically to the younger boy.

"I'm sorry for spacing out, Fred. Is there a problem?"

"Oh. Um... nothing, Elise-sama. It's just... those flowers... were they from the same noble again? I noticed that you were receiving the same thing for two weeks and you look a little troubled... I'm sorry for being nosy." He slightly looked away before fiddling with the end of his scarf.

She picked up the worry in his tone and she couldn't help but smile. Fred can be a little adorable when worried and she sort of sees him as a younger brother.

Fred sometimes tends to worry when it's about Elise since he developed a strong loyalty to the young woman when he saw how kind she is and when she made him food sometimes for the children he cares.

She truly is like a flower that is oozing with warmth and kindness.

"It's all right, Fred. Thank you for worrying." She smiled at him before it disappeared after looking at flower at hand. "Indeed, he always sends me the same flowers in every few days. I don't particularly hate the flowers but the frequency of it is troubling me a little."

"As well as the flower's meaning..."

Fred agreed to what she said. He stepped forward and held out his hand.

"Should I place it in one of the jars in the rose observatory, Elise-sama?"

"No. That rose garden is for William-nii-sama...and for my older brothers. You can put this in the vase where the rest of it is. The old ones can be replaced by now."

She handed the bouquet to him and he nodded. "I understand, Elise-sama."

"Thank you, Fred."

The lad took the said flowers and left the room. Louis arrived and saw Fred carrying some flowers as he passed by.
