"I'm starving, Hermione! Let's go grab some food then we can go back to the dorm, you can help me catch up in theStandard Book of Spells," I suggested knowing that something else to bring her spirits up would be studying.
I stepped out first, Hermione followed cleaning some of the stray tears from her cheeks. I looked back at her and with a supportive smile until the most horrid scent hit my nostrils. I turned back to the door and came face to belly with a mountain troll. His skin was a putrid green color and covered with boils. He looked at us confused and slowly entered the toilet.
Grabbing Hermione slightly with my hands I did the only thing I could think of, and shove her back into the stall. I locked the door and in that moment I realized why I wasn't sorted into Ravenclaw. The troll swung his bat and shattered the top half of the stalls, Hermione and I dropped to the ground and covered our faces to protect from stray pieces of wood. When we felt the wood hitting our backsides we screamed.
"Mira! Hermione! Move!" Moving some of the wood that was blocking our vision I saw Harry and Ron standing shocked at the door. We tried to crawl from under the stalls, getting farther away from the monster, but the troll swung his club again causing us to freeze and cover our faces once again. We were practically buried under the broken pieces.
"Don't just stand there! Help us!" I screamed.
The boys came back to reality and started throwing pieces of wood at the troll in attempt to distract it. We crawled from under the debris to the sinks, but the troll was determined to get to us for some reason. He swung the club and broke the sink next to us, I could feel my robes getting drenched with water from the broken pipe.
Harry grabbed onto the club, and when the troll brought it up, Harry landed on his shoulders. Trolls are notoriously stupid creatures, and looked around trying to find the boy on his shoulders. Harry stuck his wand up his nose...instead of casting any spell that could've helped us. The troll finally got his hand on Harry and tried to hit him with the club.
"Do something!" Harry yelled at Ron. Hermione and I watched terrified, clutching each other tightly.
Ron looked around cluelessly, "What?"
"Anything!"
"For God's sake! It's not like you're a wizard or anything!" I hollered back.
Eyes widening, Ron pulled his wand out, "Swish and flick!" Hermione reminded him.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Ron recited perfectly keeping the troll's club in the air.
Seeing he didn't have his club in his hand, the troll looked around confused. The moment he looked up, Ron let the club fall right on his head. Dazed, the troll let Harry fall. Harry backed up as the troll slowly fell to his knees and face down on the ground. Slowly, Hermione and I got out from under the sinks.
I looked around at the mess we'd made, "Well isn't this a cheerful sight," I muttered.
"Is it...dead?" Hermione asked.
Harry shook his head, "I don't think so, just knocked out," he reached down and pulled his wand out from the troll's mouth. Bogies came out with the wand and we all watched in disgust as Harry cleaned it using his robes.
A gasp from the door caught our attention, Professors McGonagall, Snape, and Quirrell were at the door with their eyes wide taking in the situation.
"Explain yourselves!" McGonagall pointed to my brothers accusatorially.
They immediately went to explain but Hermione stopped, "It's my fault Professor McGonagall."
"Miss. Granger?" She clearly wasn't expecting that.
